Dear lady you are such a treasure and lovely story teller! I just found you as you popped up on my feed for you tube 2 days ago. I just helped my mother in law go home last October to her dear Lord. She was 102 the day before she died last year. She lived with my husband and I for 40 years and helped raise our children. She had so many children and grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored her so much! Worked in her garden every day year round and kept chickens here. So many beautiful stories of her life were captured by her writings and in the memories of her tribe. You are such a blessing to give us these treasures ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Also you remind me so much of my own grandma and I’m a grandma myself but you never forget those precious memories!

I love your stories Grandma Pat. My dad passed away from Alzheimers nearly 3 years ago & mum, who was coming up for 80, looked after him. It was dreadful seeing him literally forget everything, who he was, who we were etc. He used to make me toys back in the 70's when I was a kid, & gave me the job I have now, & still love doing. My brother & I were lucky. Our parents gave us a lovely childhood. Lots of fond memories x

I understand…… my Father also died…just after my 8th birthday. It was devastating as my mother got far worse than ever and was abusive to me. With a brutal mother and no father it was horrible. My father was 30 when he died and 30 years to the day my son was born on the day my Father died. I named him after my father. Sometimes the cycle of life comes back around with a pleasant surprise. My son was born 2 months premature so he wasn’t supposed to be born on the anniversary of my fathers death or was he. I wish you pleasant surprises!

So many stories of my family-from both sides-maternal and paternal come to my mind when you speak of your childhood. If my dad was alive today he would be 90 years old. He was a very complicated and harsh man and I was his only child. He was very hard on me growing up but I knew he loved me and I loved him. I was at his bedside when took his last breath at age 83. I think of him every day and I always will. The older I get, the more I understand and appreciate why he was so hard on me. He was also a decon & usher at the Baptist church. Kind & lovng & caring. In fact that is the same church where I married.
He was a master watch repairman. All the folks from church brought their watches to daddy for repair. You should have seen our yard that he terraced from huge rocks he dug up. That yard was beautiful. I miss him so much. I know he's in Glory. Not because he was kind. Not because he was a Baptist but because he asked Jesus to come into his heart & to forgive him from his sins. That's how you get saved!!! So simple even a child can be saved. ❤

Well I’m crying.😢❤ What a beautiful Daddy you had. That’s such a blessing! It sounds like you & your Family were such a close and supportive Family. My Daddy raised my baby Brother & I when my Mom had some issues. And my Grandma helped raise us too. He is the best Dad and all of the Neighborhood Kid’s would ALWAY’S come over & talk and get advice from him. He grew up on a big garden too. His Dad had such a beautiful Garden we loved to pick all of the Fruit. We live in Michigan. My Dad was diagnosed w/ Throat Cancer 5 year’s ago. My Mom passed away the same year. So me being the oldest naturally I handled her Funeral and I took my Dad to his Chemo, & Radiation Therapy every day 45 minutes away. That same year a lady did a U-turn and totaled my new car! And my cat that I loved so much died. But God got me through. And my Dad made it. He lost his voice but he met a wonderful Woman while he was in the Nursing home recovering. She’s a PT. I feel like God spared us and didn’t take both of our parents. Anyway’s thank you again for your story. I really enjoyed it.

That brought a wonderful picture to my mind of your wonderful childhood. I was just crying away 😢. I never encountered anyone that never had anything bad to say about my dad. He was a trickster I remember people saying lol. I was 18 months old when my father passed away of throat cancer, so I never remembered him. Anyone that has a chance to have both a good mother and father, are some special children and my brothers and sisters were some of those children. I had a great mom and enjoyed everyday I had with her. I know how painful it is talking about how great our parents were and how much we miss them. I loved your story and it took me back of growing up with my mom and grandma. I had such a wonderful childhood. I am so thankful that I found your videos, you are such a special woman!!!! God bless!!!!

I love your stories. I want to thank you too for sharing your life with us. It’s like reading that magazine Reminisce lol. I’m 67 and love seeing what was before me. My grandma wasn’t a talker. She kept quiet so I didn’t get much history on her. Also I’m a reseller lol and you have helped me identify vintage things to resell. Blessings dear friend. I am excited every time to see a video to see what we all will learn today

Always love your family stories. I've always regretted too that I didn't ask my dad about his family. Now that I'm doing genealogy, I wish I had known more. Your dad sounds like a great guy. At least being strict meant that he cared. Nowadays parents don't do that.

What an amazing dad! I loved hearing about him. Reminded me of my grandpa's story. He came from a family of 12 children and during the depression they couldn't afford to take care of all the children so his family moved away. He came home from school and found the whole family had left. How heartbreaking. He got a job at age 12 working for Pacific Railroad and worked there until he retired. He and my grandmother lived long happy lives for many years together.

I was a daddy's girl....he was so special to me....and I was special to him. What ever he was doing I was right beside him helping him, if he was working on the car I was right there handing him the tools. Those were special days I wouldn't trade for anything. He's in heaven now, and we'll see each other again. I love, and miss him so much. Nothing better than a good daddy....!!!❤❤😊
