Gloucester Township Police New eK-9 Unit For 2022!
Gloucester Township Police Chief David Harkins is proud to announce the New Electronic K-9 Unit, and our newest GTPD Officer: eK-9 Circuit!
These energy efficient electric dogs are highly trained, very eco-friendly, and waste-reducing that help lower our carbon footprint in Gloucester Township. eK-9 Circuit completed his training in late March, and will be deployed to our neighborhoods to curb theft and catch criminals staring on April 1, 2022.
“We felt we needed to come up with an innovative, energy efficient approach to control street crime and stay green,” said Chief Harkins. "This is just the beginning, this Electronic K-9 Unit will really benefit us and our community."
