Thanks for the tour. Beautiful countryside and old buildings. Hard to believe my country is not even 250 years old yet. Looks like the two of you enjoyed some relaxation 👍🏻
The river and gorge looks like part of the lower Wye Dave. Is that limestone? I suspect the cathedral was built of the local stone. I gotta say it was a beautiful rural ramble you guys were on. I love the way you go slow on the camera - gives us time to feel. Beautiful and relaxing all round. Take care. Mark
Yash, thats what i noticed too: the wye river (and many uk rivers like it) do have a real 'French' feel. (Or vice versa) Yep the north part of the massif central is limestone. Many caves to be found. More volcanic towards the south. I made this edit for us personally as a remembrance, no flashy, giddy hipster shit😁. No consession there. Funny to see it gets fewer hits - but great feedback! Oh, this was a very nice holiday, we'll be back there. Maybe I'm going to do a solo hike there too. Great wild camping spots all over the place! Thanks mark, as always😗👍
@@spijkerpoes Interesting that the similarity - our lands were joined once. I love wooded gorges and valleys. It looked limestone - that's much of the building material then. Well, non flashy worked well. Simple recording - great memory. I'd love to see you there hiking and camping. A pleasure to watch. Peace!
great caves ! excellent similarities between prehistoric caves and medieval churches ; always believed that, but you made it so clear and obvious by juxtaposing those two sets of images :-) humans naturally dwell in caves dug into cliffs... and when they found that they were not enough of them, they erected artificial caves and cliffs everywhere :-)
The designs in the Arcy sur cure are astounding. No footage alas, not allowed. I've seen many occasions of prehistoric caves with mediaeval castles on top. A great place to live often stays a great place to live i suppose. We had a great time, such a rich area. Cheers, thanks..
Thanks! 47.585457, 3.766249 you can't get there by 4x4 however, you'll have to walk the last bit (-! A real nice place to visit - almost no one goes there
@@spijkerpoes , Thank you for your quick reply. I had organized a 2 week walk in May. It will be for later and I will add these caves. We share the same passions : bivouac, nature. Be well. One life - Life it
@@randonaturedecouverte1 Cheers, yeah We had a cabin rented in Vosges du nord for this week. But we couldn't go. This year I fear I can't visit France at all. So I'll have to bivouac around here. I hope you do get a chance to get out too. The little plateau above those caves is perfect for a camp out..

Dirk
Dank. De noordkant van de Morvan, boven Avalon. De rivier is de Cure. Veel te zien daar. Voor te vissen weet ik niet? Groet..
