    This has been the best documentation and narrative of a journey into the lives of Muslims in China. I have read much, but resources are limited (for english speakers) as to the lives of Muslims (as told by a Muslim) in China. Allahdulilah watching this was an emotional journey full of fascination, amazement and sadness. May Allah bless you Shiekh Qadhi for your showing of this and sharing with with the world. May Allah grant all the Muslims in China full rights to practice their religion freely without persecution and harassment.

    I have studied China for well over 8 years and the Chinese Communist Party's hold on the religious establishments is Soviet in every sense of the nostalgic term. As a member of the Catholic Church, I know our priests are sanctioned by the government and they too, and forced to constantly remind the faithful of the benevolence of the Chinese Communist Party. The way I rationalize it, it is better to have a church, or a masjid, with a priest and an imam, then to not have one at all.
    It's sad, the Tang dynasty's tolerance is long forgotten. During China's last dynasty, the Qing, Muslims were a respected, honorable people that served in the army, served in the bureaucracy, and contributed, alongside all the Chinese ethnicities. The Uighurs were brought in to Xinjiang after the Dzunghar wars, to help deal with the massively depopulated region. The Uighurs were invited and supported by the Qing dynasty, it's a shame that they have been so betrayed in modernity but they're fighting a behemoth for sure. Gone are the days of Admiral Zheng He, with his Hui Muslim fleet, traveling the oceans. God willing, someday the faithful, both Christians and Muslims in China, will be opened up. As honorable Sh. Qadhi says, we are "cut off." The ummah in China is like East Berlin, the Church in China is the same way.

    As Salaamu Alaykum my brother in Islam. Your presentations are of high value to all who listens and I ask Allah the Merciful and All Knowing that He protects and guides you and all with you to safety , Ameen. I remember reading in the Hadiths (Muslim) about the religion of Islam will go back to when (where) it began. All the sights, etc that you spoke of that is not the norm in practicing the religion of Al-Islam, is shocking to me but at the same time shaking my head in acknowledgement to the Hadiths. Perhaps you would do a lecture, talk, or however you present it about the words of Allah on the last days of this worldly life. I ask Allah the Preserver of what and whomever He Wills to preserve, that you and anyone with you, be it family, friends, etc. be amongst those, Ameen. Please overlook any misspelling, etc. As Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullilahi wa Barakatuh.

      I don't think the umma can fairly be accused of being silent. Perhaps quiet, but the mainstream media at large has turned a blind eye to the concentration camps and appalling practices that China is oppressing the Uighurs with. Not even one hundred years ago we made the same mistake. We were content to turn a blind eye to the German Jews, the Polish.. But then when Nazism began to affect EVERYONE, THEN it became a problem that the masses were informed of. AstaghfuAllah even as now we cannot leave our houses without being bombarded with information of this virus, MILLIONS OF HUMAN BEINGS ARE IN CONCENTRATION CAMPS, AND WHAT ARE WE DOING TO FIGHT THIS ?

    Jazak Allah Dr. Yasir qadhi for the informative talk. However, to correct a small error in the Maldives story, it was not a tsunami that called for the sacrifice of a young woman, but the story goes that a sea monster would call for the sacrifice of a young woman. The origins of the story must have been obviously for a personal gain of the originators of the story. Control of the public via fear is not uncommon. The girl would have been a dispensable addition that somebody would have taken advantage of. Obviously the benefit of converting a community to Islam has done away with such backward rituals. Alhamdhulillah.

      The Real Civilisation Huh!!
      A tsunami is a series of waves caused by earthquakes or undersea volcanic eruptions. ... Out in the depths of the ocean, tsunami waves do not dramatically increase in height. But as the waves travel inland, they build up to higher and higher heights as the depth of the ocean decreases.

    • @kingash85
      @kingash85 6 лет назад

      Thanks. I had a feeling there was a mistake in my 'equation'. CORRECTION:
      Monsoon season = very strong winds = high tides = flooding/drowning/damage
      There doesn't seem to be a casual link between a Monsoon and a Tsunami. Most likely Shaykh Yasir meant flooding and not Tsunami.

    True, the design of masjid in Europe should adopt gothic style architecture, reminiscent of monastery & churches as much as the sharia allows it. That way the locals would not feel "invaded". Sadly it's middle eastern style is the dominant one.

    • @BinuJasim
      @BinuJasim 6 лет назад +3

      Actually the minarets are not originally Muslim style. It is copied from the Christian architecture style. The Hagia Sophia in Turkey is a proof to that. That is ok. The arches and minarets have become part of Muslim identity.

    • @kingash85
      @kingash85 6 лет назад

      My thoughts exactly. Although Gothic architecture is a bit ugly. Better to go for Classical Revival architecture. They are extremely beautiful. A Masjid with this type of theme would fit in very well. Allah knows best.

    Anyway, the Prophet PBUH then said to Sa'd ibn Mu'adh, that, "Your people have accepted you as a judge for these (Banu Qurayza)." Note all of this is taking place outside the fortress. The Muhajir and Khazraj are not really involved either - the Khazraj had animosity with the Banu Qurayza anyway so they didn't care what happened to them. So it was between the Aws and the Prophet PBUH. So Sa'd said to his people, "I call you to Allah, and tell you to make a promise to Allah - will you listen and obey me with whatever verdict I give?" They said, "Yes it is you." And then he turned to the Prophet PBUH, lowered his face in front of him, and said, "And you as well ya Rasulullah? Will you be happy with my verdict?" And the Prophet PBUH said, "Yes." Wallahi it's mind-boggling to imagine, that Rasulullah is willing to go down to the ruling of Sa'd just for the Aws. And so Sa'd without a seconds hesitation said, "My judgement in them, is that their men should be executed, their property distributed and their women and children taken as captive." As soon as he said this, the Prophet PBUH said, "Wallahi this was judgement of Allah from above the seven heavens." And by the way this shows us Allah's decree is ONE. But the Prophet PBUH was willing for the sake of unity of the ummah to perhaps have a softer decree. But when Sa'd said the verdict, the Prophet PBUH said, "This is literally the verdict of Allah."
    When the verdict was given, then of course the commandment were given to execute the men. Trenches were dug, the males were tied up and they were taken in batches and executed. One of the young men who survived narrates that, "I was a boy that was spared because I didn't have hair." And many stories are mentioned regarding Huyay ibn Akhtab, when he was led out of the fortress, he was wearing his finest garment, and he had used strings to tie it around his body because he didn't want anyone to take it from his body after his death. And when he passed by the Prophet PBUH he said, "Wallahi I have never regretted my animosity towards you." To the last second he is saying, "I have no regrets." And then he said a phrase, "But whoever Allah humiliates, that is the real one who is humiliated." Look the guy himself deep down inside knows whose side Allah is on - and he turned to his people and said, "O my people don't be sad, this is the decree of Allah on the Bani Israel" and then he lowered his neck and was executed. When Ka'b ibn Asad was let out, the Prophet PBUH said, "O Ka'b why didn't you benefit from the advice of Ibn Kharrash (a rabbi who had predicted from the coming of the Prophet PBUH) for he believed in me, and commanded you to follow me, and gave his salaam to me through you." So Ka'b says, "I swear by the Torah this is true. And were it not for the fact that the Jews would criticize me, and say 'because I was scared of death I converted' I would follow you know, but I die as a Jew." So better than Huyay, but he is still going to die upon his ow

    Sir, in many of your speeches we hear you mention Hollywood and Bollywood movies.Is watching it Halal ?being a public figure who gains so much of attention from people including me, it gives a wrong message. whether to watch or not is your personal choice but speaking it out matters.

    Hi Dr. Qadhi, have you got a time to study Shia, cause your talk is one sided and this is not fair to preach Islam to the people, otherwise you would be speaker of one group

    Assalamualikum. I am Bangladesh born live in China with my family (wife also Bangladesh born, two child brought up till 12 grade) for last 18 years. Alhumdullah, We naver faced any obstruction on our practice of Islam even pray in the park. It may happen 100 people want to make jamat in a public place may be stopped in many Muslim country even. It seams your guide may had also excessive explanation on Muslim situation there. I also believe you should visit "Uyghur" by your self before comment on their life style or situation of Muslim there. There are so called Uyghur Muslim (agent of west) with propaganda. Please do not believe them. As per my knowledge no female in China can be forced to married. Yes it is true that no religion is allowed to preach out side (mosque, temples or church). But Alhumdullah more than 10,000 people gather for every jummah without police or government agency presence in Guangzhou. Eid jamat is much bigger. Request to check by yourself.

      I've seen videos and photos of how the Xinjiang Muslims are being treated. The Hui Muslims are ethic Chinese the Xinjiang are not big difference and they're being oppressed by the government. The replies to your comment from Xinjiang Muslims confirming the atrocities happening to them proves it's not propaganda like you're saying. Instead of empathizing with our brothers and sisters in Islam you're saying that they're propagandists may Allah forgive you.

      Md Tofail Ahmed looks like the Chinese government gave you some incentives while you were in China. You have not been to there either. Why do you need to say something without knowing it. I know the Chinese government give priority to the foreigners who live in China in every aspect of life. Free education, free food, best living apartments in the universities, taking you to the mosque every Friday etc. I have seen all of these. That is why you are talking on their benefit. Because you got much benefit from them. May Alla bless you. May Alla forgive all the people speak with ignorance. Thanks Dr. Yasir stand up for truth. This is the scholar who says” I call spade a spade”.
