This was the greatest Kona Electric review I've seen - and certainly the most entertaining! p.s. the lack of coolness is the point, as you pointed out at the end! Bjorn Nyland put it at the top of his 1000 km challenge table too!

I have mine for over half year now, and still in complete love with the Kona. If you want cool look check other colours as well, my Dark Knight is an absolute winner for me. :)

Ha....it is a cool car! 😆 My wife and I absolutely love our 2023 Kona Ultimate in Black! It is a superb vehicle...very comfy, fun to drive, very economical and puts a smile on my face everytime we drive it! Had it since August 24 2022 and we are now just about into 9000km...leaving on a 4500km road trip in November. We are planning a round North America trip for fall of 2023 to celebrate my wife's retirement. I figure we will accumulate about 12,000km on that trip! So this car is going to be a high miler pretty quickly! Thanks for your review and greetings from Canada! Mike 🇨🇦

I remember you on the first drive saying, "Sounds like a big electric drill" or something. I never did convert a car, but I did just buy a Kona Electric. Great catching up with you again! While you might not look cool in a Kona, you do not have to look uncool... It's a great car

A random bloke recently commented that I look like Billy Idol… who is very cool. I am cool asf! This car is cool and I look cool on it. I have had my Hyundai Kona for about 2 months and I am completely in love. It’s my second Hyundai and my first EV. I will never go back to fossil fuels. I agree with almost everything you’ve had to say except I look very cool driving it. I put some Rob Ruha or Dane Rumble on and I’m as cool as it gets. Tesla doesn’t have the same regen braking benefits… or the same “I’m a normal car” factor that Kona has. Buy one. You will love it and you will be as cool as Billy Idol too. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Without question this is my next vehicle purchase. Too many people have been so quick to overlook it for minor reasons and always want to compare it to a Tesla, which in many cases, it’s actually better than.
Not a bad review, but based on the length of your drive, you could have included some thoughts on the differing regen braking levels, and how they vary depending on the Mode it’s in, and whether or not in Cruise control etc. You could also have highlighted the various drivers screen variations and the HUD adjustments. Lane Keep Assist is great as well, especially on those long roads you drove on. Basically you need to do an updated video of all the Controls for the Driver, as I’m finding them quite complicated myself!
Yes, in fact here in Portugal the car cannot have the name Kona (you already know why). Here the name is Hyundai Kauai, which is the name of another island in Hawaii
10:26 Well, I am from Portugal but living in Taiwan for some years now. I can tell you the meaning of (c)Kona in Portugal. It is the most depreciative manner to say vagina, which is spelled, but not said, the same way in Portuguese. That said, well, it is still Hawaiian. ;)
Really good review mate , to the point and no fancy stuff. I drive a hybrid kona but the EV seems to be a better option with 400+ km range. Any plans to review the kia niro ev ?
It is a very good all around car indeed. But I would be a more strict judge on the suspension. At least in my 2020 version it is ...wobbly. Also the road noise is a bit loud in the cabin. But this depends heavily on the condition of the road and the tires.
That did make me sad watching a middle aged man eating and dropping icecream inside a car, but i'd do it again if it helps me decide if i want kona or an MG or BYD Atto 3.
The reason everyone liked it is because only the people which can afford it are old!!! Love electric, but prices need to drop! Even base Tesla is cheaper

They improved the road noise in the 2022 model.
