Jude: Contending for the Faith | Jude 5-16

This Sunday, April 28 (9am & 10:45am), Pastor Zach will continue his sermon series in the book of Jude, Contending for the Faith. This week he will be covering Jude 5-16.
Samuel Johnson once said, "People need to be reminded more often than they need to be instructed."
As humans, we are prone to forget, and we need reminders. In verse 5 of his letter, Jude says,
"Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it...".
Jude's audience had forgotten some things and needed a timely reminder. What Jude's audience had forgotten was the destiny of ungodly, unbelieving, false teachers. They needed to remember that these false teachers were not to be followed because they were destined for judgment.
Jude is a small book with a big message! Jude reminds us of the importance of standing for the faith of the gospel instead of falling for all the false teachings that attack core Christian doctrine or distract us from what really matters.
May God continue to establish us in the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints!
