Ds2 is the ds2 of dark souls
That’s a pretty controversial take, care to explain your reasoning?
No it isnt
EÖMRÖWÇETNWÇEMNEWÇÖMN345MÖ34Ö
@@thejohnhopkinscompany9599 no
@@thejohnhopkinscompany9599 Well DS2 is peak, and DS2 is the peak Dark Souls game. Therefore, DS2 is the DS2 of Dark Souls
I think the “love island interview esk sections” add a lot to the video
Love the way you put this
I think you meant "love island interview-esque" lol
I really like them too though
@@Heroo01 wah-lah
This is where the short of her doing the worm in Aggys room came from
Since you asked, I do have two challenge run ideas. For the first one, I don't know how well it translates: no crime run / upstanding citizen. No murder, stealing, trespassing, etc. chat will figure it out. Self-defense is allowed. Could be fun, could be terrible
The second one is simple, every death and/or defeated boss, add a HUD to the screen (OBS). I've seen these in the past with other games, certified good time. Should it get too cluttered you can make a bargain with chat to remove HUDs
On an unrelated note, love the punishment wheel. Including some more chaotic punishments was really fun
Certified Dark Souls II enjoyer here, you got me, it was the first one I completed and that made me fall in love with the series. Honestly has my favourite drip out of the series too which helps a lot.
Say what you want, it takes skills to rhyme that long 😂
By the way, the Frozen wasteland can be trivialized with a shield. When a blizzard rocks in, hold up your shield, and spam lockon to block the spawned horse. Then, counter and kill it. Do that until you reach the boss, taking breaks in the dilapidated shelters.
Smelter Demon's caves are completely unsalvagable without actual player Co-op, however, due to how the timed gates work, alongside those astrologians.
I really don't think chat knows what a complaint is
Hey, that's a complaint!
its anything that can be an excuse for them to give her a punishment
I love the interstitial commentary. It's like the "confession booths" in reality shows. Definitely a repeat segment for future edits!!!
It’d be hilarious is randomly they had a boss confession where they complain about players.
10 seconds in and I can confirm this is a parkenharbor classic
get off her nuts
23:29 That could not have been more perfectly timed if you rehearsed it lmao
Not a DS2 defender but the reason for the duo boss fight, the gauntlet to the smelter reskin, and the gank squad are designed as Co-Op. Players without the DLC could even place their summon signs and they'd show up in those statue rooms leading into each of those boss areas for summoning. I think they all stink regardless but that's why. They're closer in spirit to something like the ER:SotE Leda fight.
While I agree with what you're saying, I still think it was a bad idea. If you want to encourage people to buy the dlc by giving them a little freebie, having them be the worst areas and bosses is counterproductive. Which is a shame, because overall the dlcs are stellar and should be played.
@@184Switch Well, they're not too bad areas when rocking with a heavily armored party. But if you play it like a dark souls tryhard, it will punish you.
They're still terrible. In fact the idea that people without the dlc can join in for a sneak peak at the absolute worst and laziest parts of it is extra dumb. Like yeah seeing a boss I've already killed but blue or 3 random npcs is really going to make me want to spend money.
10:58 "oh the dogs jump that high? wait that rocks"
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
15:19 good bit
so the conclusion of a no complain ds 2 run is, that parky states, people who love this game have stockholm syndrom. Yeah, seems about right haha.
I somehow missed parky doing the worm right into a door on stream, it was worth watching just to see that.
Also, 30:15 ahahahah
This was very fun to watch live, and honestly, seeing videos like this, and going back to it myself, I can't deny the vibes of ds2, even while I don't like the feel of playing it at all.
"A moment of silence for broadsword" - Aggy starts screaming next room
🔥video once again, the vibes are immaculate. Thank you west and sholzi for the pog edit and thumnail
The door. Worm. The door. Worm.
I started the vid being like "you know what, DS2 ISN'T as bad as I remember!" and the more I watched your the run the more I was like "yeah nvm lol." Emotional arc of this vid is felt by us all
Honestly I just like it for the vibes. Mostly because of Majula
it's easier to be a majula fan than a ds2 fan
Parky being a Dan Gheesling fan just completed my life
The talk at 21:00 about stamina management is so big for DS2 cause it punishes your stamina regen so heavily based on % weight it's probably the 2nd most important thing you can do in this game after getting agi above 105 cause if your going heavy and don't have all the stamina regen items your in actual stamina hell
19:46 "Guys what should we use all this money on ?"
"What money?"
We need a solo upload of the rhyming section at normal speed LMFAO
You can change the speed of the video in that section
Love the longer form videos!!!!
Broadsword posse!♥
I finished my whole first run of DS2 with the broadsword. It's an absolute dps beast! Nice to see it getting some love.
Parken, you can use the ballistas on the Pursuer if you parry his attack it leaves him stunned long enough you can use it on him.
or use a barrel to line it up and roll past his attack
@@DonaldSmurf or summon a phantom in cardinal tower bonfire and have him (or you) distract the pursuer while the other pulls the ballista, I do that most of the time now since that area has lots of summon signs if you're low level
@ my go to would be pate from the last giant fight. Me personally, I learned a speed run route, so i got that roll timing down xD for new players, fantastic advice here :)
all I hear is buh. all I hear is buh. all I hear is buh. all I hear is buh. all I hear is buh.
38:50 I wish this had DougDougs cinema code. Peak finisher
23:50 lmao it looks so simple and if you use the help function you can know what everything does with detail
ngl ds2 was my intro to dark souls and even going playing the others it still holds a special place in my heart also still the game i went the highest ng cycle on
This was such a great run!!! Really loved this one. Great work, Parky and Wes!
parky doing the worm in aggys room was the last thing I was expecting.
"I will remain by your side, until this frail hope shatters"
*dies instantly*
I made a comment in last nights stream that I hoped you recorded new bits to insert during the video, and you did! Yay! I also said I hoped you gave the finger to the cam at the end of each new bit, which may have come across a bit harshly lol Fantastic video, most enjoyable! Oh, and your final conclusion on the game was spot on. Glad to have the real Parky back.
This video just made me realize that complaining about DS2 is the best part of DS2.
jajaja Good edit at 1:32:00. I was so lost for a second
Finally!! I was waiting for the video as I constantly stumbled onto shorts about it but couldn't find any VODS
shes right about the ganks, and the long runbacks.
still my fav souls game. i think being used to the unfair design in ds2 helped me enjoy the other games 10x more than most players.
Thanks!
Wait thank you so much
Ive beat this game 4 times and just learned that getting cursed is not an insta kill. Ive spent 11 years believing that you would die if that gauge filled up.
That was an earth shattering revelation.
okay but maybe we should all start rhyming when playing ds2, because it seems like that was the only time during this playthrough she was actually enjoying herself 💀
The shorts from this have been great, can’t wait to watch
33:13 you should absolutely read the lord of the rings books, start with the hobbit though
Best video you’ve ever done. More like this please!
Been waiting for this one
the hyper speed for ancient dragon had me i stg why was it so funny
well, 5mins after the video starts and i want to play ds2 myself so hard, 5 more minutes and the desire is gone, such a nice game lol
Love this franchise, specially this one. Around mid-2015, I heard that DS3 was about to be released. I can't even remember if it was a rumor or something else, but that got me curious about "what the hell was this Dark Souls franchise that everyone kept talking about and made people scared because it was so hard." I was never really a fan of difficult games, to be honest, but I watched a gameplay of Dark Souls 1 and fell in love with the game's theme. To me, it was a "harder medieval RPG than Skyrim," in my understanding at the time.
I revisited my achievements on Steam just to be accurate - I lit the first bonfire on February 24, 2015, at 10:59 AM. My last achievement, "To Link the Fire," was on February 27, 2016. And I remember exactly why it took me so long to finish it. Tomb of the Giants, ahhhhh Tomb of the Giants. The most famous duo in the franchise went down relatively easily to my STR-focused and overleveled build (which I loved doing), but Tomb of the Giants… my spine shivered just stepping into that place. I went about a month and a half without touching the game until I came back, thinking I had less time to finish DS2 so I could enjoy the release of DS3 with all the fans.
Overall, my experience with DS1 was great. But I have to admit, I finished that game more out of a sense of moral obligation - since I had started it, I couldn't quit - rather than something I was truly enjoying the whole time. I did the DLCs too, don’t get me wrong. I fell in love with Artorias' story. But looking back now, I also have to say I can’t exactly claim the game "wasn’t fun the whole time" - I think some parts just pushed me too hard, and I didn’t feel like Firelink Shrine eased that tension.
Then I met Majula. On February 28, 2016. With Scholar of the First Sin, I embraced that game with my whole heart. The environments were different - clearer, more vibrant - and I felt the sun shining brighter on my character’s rotten face, living just to die. I know this probably sounds dumb, but from what I remember, I believe this was the most honest and innocent reason I stayed in the game for so long. That and the multiplayer - both PVP and co-op - which kept me interacting with other players for hours and hours, but without saying a single word.
I remember reaching The Pit for the first time, and immediately after lighting the bonfire, I nope’d out of it. I thought, “I’ll feel better if I’m more prepared,” and I went to my peaceful spot at Heide’s Tower to fight those big, dumb giants that were no longer a match for my build (of which I had so many, I don’t even remember which one I was using). I’d jump into co-op to help people who couldn’t get past that part where the dragon “blocked the path” to the Dragonslayer. I repeated that section over and over. I can’t recall another game where I genuinely felt like I was making someone’s day better. I guess it’s the same feeling people who play that popular co-op game, Deep Rock Galactic, must get.
That’s how I played DS2 - with many hands involved. Every time I felt too overwhelmed by something, I’d jump into multiplayer, which was always full, unlike DS1 (maybe because of the region?). It wasn’t the most honorable way to finish it, like DS1, where I did everything solo. But it was by far the most fun.
Then came DS3, which I played on April 11, 2016. And to sum it up: I remember feeling the same way as I did with DS1 - a sense of “anguish” and melancholy (not that DS2 didn’t have that, but…), in a darker, colder, and grayer world. I loved the new gameplay, but I still missed the warmth of DS2. Overall, I thought it was an excellent game, but it’s the DS I spent the least hours on, and it’s definitely the one I’d be least motivated to replay today.
But again, this isn’t hate. The internet, in general, makes us post short, blunt, and sometimes ignorant comments when we don’t take the time to think things through. Maybe that’s just the curse of social media, turning us hollow with every dopamine hit we get here. Thanks, Parky- even if you might not read this, I enjoyed reminiscing about what I used to write this. Take care, and happy gaming.
yes, been waiting for this! missed the streams because i was in the middle of my own first ds2 playthrough when you started. glad i didn't do my own complaint wheel!
Bro she just runs past every single enemy, unless the editor just trolling
8:58 played the game 3 times and that's the first time i see this combo of him
Here are the problems with DS2:
1: Adaptability stat and not providing information to players about this stat.
2: Hitboxes are broken.
3: You are not safe when you pass through the fog door.
4: Even when you lock on, the character hits in a different direction.
5: The enemies are very numerous and their some placements are very suspicious.
6: There is a Quantity VS Quality problem for Bosses in the game.
7: The runbacks in the game are terrible, perhaps the game with the worst runbacks in the entire series.
On the one hand, because I love the game, the things I want to say are:
1: ADP is not as big a problem as it is exaggerated. Leveling up in DS2 is easier than any other souls. And in the first two hours of the game you can easily reach 20 ADP, which is equal to DS1 i-frames. As I said, the main problem is that the game does not properly introduce ADP to the player. Also increasing ADP fixes the hitbox problem in the game to some extent.
2: Most areas in DS2 are actually a lot of fun once you learn how to tackle them. They are prepared in harmony with the methodical tempo of the game. Even Iron Keep and Shrine Amana become manageable once you understand the areas. Additionally, they do not respawn after killing a certain number of enemies. If you don't just run around you won't have much trouble in the game. Most enemy placements are actually designed in a way that careful players can spot in advance.
3: DS2 is perhaps the most interactive Souls. Lighting a torch is important in this game. Some enemies (spiders and dark stalkers) are afraid of fire. Lighting a torch can reveal little secrets. (Invaders, lighting up Lost Sinner's boss room, reviving the Dragon Skeleton in Aldia's Keep) these are nice things. There are also nice little mechanics like pharros lockstones and fragrant branch of yore that will eventually be ported to Elden Ring. The Santier Spear is a great reward, and there's an NPC you can dress up to your very own fashion taste. Enemies that can open doors. You're even allowed to bring back to life some NPCs you've killed. If you keep looking you can find little things like these, I don't know, I think little details like that are cool.
4: The variety of builds in this game is the best in the trilogy. DS2 offers players more options and accessibility when it comes to RPGs than its siblings. Even at the beginning of the game you can find Titanite Slab and unlock infusions very quickly. Even you can easily exchange boss souls without spending tons of upgrade materials.
5: Power Stance is a great feature, we see how much it shines in Elden Ring. And personally, it's great to be able to do power stances like giant chicken wings with the Smelter Hammer in DS2. Also Blue and Red Smelter Swords, doing great somersaults with the Majestic Greatsword... I mean, that's just the power stance.
6: Although there are many bad bosses on average in the game, there are still good bosses. I can even claim that these bosses are better than the bosses in previous games. Although there are no bosses of the quality of Ornstein and Smough in the main game, there are still solid ones. Well-regarded bosses in DS2 in the general souls community are: Pursuer, Ruin Sentinels, Smelter Demon, Executioner's Chariot, Looking Glass Knight, Darklurker, Velstadt, Elena, Sinh, Fume Knight, Sir Alonne, Aava and Ivory King. I can also defend each of these bosses. I also think Flexile Sentry and Skeleton Lords are fun, but they can't be considered good overall. What I mean is, I played both DS1 and DS2 recently, and frankly, I think these bosses in DS2 are better than most of the bosses in DS1. I will always have Sir Alonne>Artorias, Fume Knight>Manus, Ivory King>Kalaamet.
7: The life improvements in DS2 are pretty overlooked in my opinion. This game is very generous with bonfire compared to DS1. I thought Lifegems were a great feature. Bonfire Ascetic is a great feature, I don't have to replay an entire game just to replay a particular boss. With Soul Vessel, we can recreate our character as much as we want. Thanks to the spices in DS2, you have the chance to use the spells you want even if you are not playing the wizard build. And no one mentions that DS2 is the only souls that makes NG different. New enemies, secrets. I still remember the moment I received a jumpscare from Freja before entering the church. DS2 has the best replayability in the trilogy.
For all its flaws, I love DS2. For me, DS2 is above Demon Souls and Dark Souls. But I don't want to be lynched for this. I can understand why people don't like DS2, but I think DS2 gets a lot of unnecessary hate. If Miyazaki had made the game, I think many of the problems I mentioned would not have existed and the game would have been much better. I think DS2 would have been better without some bosses (Mouse bosses, twin Dragonriders, and the Prowling Magus and Congregation, which are not even called bosses). However, I still think Yui Tanimura did a great job. I don't understand those who dislike DS2 because Miyazaki didn't make it. I don't think Miyazaki is necessary for Souls to be successful. I think Lies of P is a good example of this. He also worked on Yui Tanimura DS3 DLC, and Elden Ring. Of course, Miyazaki will continue to be our first choice. Miyazaki has an interview where he has good words for DS2: "Regarding Dark Souls 2, I actually think it's a really great project for us, and I think without that we wouldn't have had a lot of the connections and ideas that propelled the rest of the series forward." -Hidetaka Miyazaki
These words become much more meaningful as you realize the DS2 references in Elden Ring. I've made it too long, in summary, I think this game still has the same love as other souls. It just requires more patience.
Beautifully summed up, dude.
Not to be argumentative since I know you're not just criticizing the game for no reason, but some corrections/comments:
1. Why do people always say Adaptability when they are really talking about Agility? Also, "the game doesn't explain Adaptability to the player" is a weird criticism given that literally nothing is thoroughly explained to the player in any Dark Souls game. Anyway, more on this topic here: ruclips.net/video/Lz1V2BzdeFg/видео.html
2. The hitboxes aren't broken; they are in fact some of the tightest in the series. Lots of videos which debunk this; Domo3000 is good and it's also touched upon in the video linked above for #1. There are some *animations* that could stand to be improved, particularly grabs, but the same exact problem exist in all the other Souls games (animation queuing system).
3. This is just... a choice they made for the game. I don't really see it as a positive or negative.
4. I concede that the lock-on feels different in DS2, but it also gives you a greater degree of control and rewards precision. I hated it at first but eventually found myself appreciating it.
5. You kinda debunked this one for me already in your positive point #2, so I'll just agree with what you said there.
6. This is a fair critique, but it applies even more to Elden Ring which doesn't get criticized for same. And I agree with what you said in your positive point #6.
7. Nope, runbacks are about the same as other games in the series. Again, Domo covered this thoroughly.
An annoying thing about defending DS2 against demonstrably untrue claims like "broken hitboxes" and "adaptability ruins the whole game" is Brandolini's law: The amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it. So, thank you for taking the time to enumerate some of the positives.
I've played this game after I played all their other ones excluding demon souls so far and I agree with almost all your points, this game is definitely the black sheep and I feel it's slightly more unsatisfying than the others but it's still pretty good and there's also too much unnecessary hate. I also think now that as good as ds1 is, I feel the last third of the game is worse than most of ds2
Most of these "problems" arent real
Brother dark souls doesn't tell you anything. One stat isn't that bad.
DS2 is my my favourite of the Dark Souls games. I think it's a mixture of the aesthetics, sounds and colours. I have synesthesia and this game just hits the right spot for me.
@33:20 the lord of the rings books are amazing, highly reccomend even if you've seen the movies already
DS2 is the least good of the trilogy, but it's still an 8/10. I recently did a playthrough with the DLC for the first time and I quite enjoyed it.
Holy smokes that rhyme part was tooo funny
DS2 is easily my fav souls game, I’ve also never spent more than 2 mins in the frigid outskirts and never beaten the boss I just ignore it exists
This was a great idea for a video! Very fun to watch
15:42 why are you repeating things?
Parky book club sounds peak ngl (great video btw)
this was amazing, thanks parky
Ds2 has problems, but idk, i just had such a fun time playing through it that i simply cant help but love it. Its definitely the easiest game in the series tho.
Good content lately! I like the hot chip video and this one is fun too.
the rhymes were so sick haha
Dark Souls 2 lover here. Those duo bosses in the Frozen Outskirts are optional and it's not the prize of the DLC. We all hate these bosses but the run back is hated even more. It's a reskin of a Boss IN THE SAME DLC. They just they put 2 there like the Guardians in DS1 DLC and were like, "it's fine players like this stuff" Also its a kick in the balls lore wise as the Souls imply that the pets of the king should all have a different duties and yet these have the exact same job?! Frigid Outskirts is alpha version of the Consecrated Snowfield in ER where you fight stonger copies of other bosses, it's a Fromsoft thing. We all know the prize of the third DLC is the eye and the lore drops. Pro TIP: Bring Warmth and heal up with your summons outside the fog gate. There is absolutely no shame in summoning for this boss as many summons have a story component for being summoned this is just pain.
Yes it is optional, but it is a paid DLC where they promised you 3 bosses and one of them is... that fight. I personally think that if there would be a bonefire at the last ruin it would be even a decent fight. The run back is the annoying and the fact that we have totally unique enemies in only that one area. Why didn't they do a boss fight with the horses in there? It is a shame since they are cool, but they were placed in a setting like this. After the run you will be stressed bc you don't want to run again, this will make you panic, that will kill you, after two runs you will get frustrated and give up or bang your head against the wall until it is done. Blue Smelter is the same with that run. but tbh i think the first DLC wouldn't be less without that trio fight in it either. All three dlc have one bs run.
Literally you PAID for that area too ,so yes is bad ,trash and doesn't have sense to compare to the guardians of ds1 because they are not a boss after but enemies that will respawn
@Micheal420. It's old redundant knowledge now thanks to Scholar including everything, but you could play those areas without paying for the dlc. Players could be summoned into those sections of the dlc without them owning it. Which is the worst advertisement for the dlc I can imagine lol
In my opinion (as someone who really enjoys DS2), those who played it when it first came out are usually the ones who appreciate it the most. If you’ve experienced DS3, Elden Ring, Sekiro, or Bloodborne first, it’s natural to prefer them. However, it’s important to recognize that these games build on many of the strengths and ideas introduced in DS2.
@@MhdNMoh These kinds of statements just seem to be made in bad faith and from people who didn’t even play original release or lived vicariously through grifters trying to capitalize on being contrarian for youtube clicks.
I played it when it first came out and I dislike it as much now as I did then. Which is to say, I enjoy playing it but I've never really been able to let go of the disappointment I felt playing it for the first time and feeling just how much worse it felt to play than Dark Souls 1. It improves on a lot of mechanics from Dark Souls 1 and introduces a bunch more good ones (adp not included), but it just *feels* so bad to play it's crazy.
As someone who's played every game in release order, DkS2 was rightfully panned when it came out. So many areas were garbage, like Shrine of amana. After patches it's much better (same happened with DkS1, vanilla was rough) but still very flawed, though it does have unique strengths too
@@DontSighYeah the whole game feels like you're knee deep in mud it's crazy how much smoother and more fluid Demon's feels compared to this and even DkS1, even though it came out before them
@PagingDoctorGuy "bad faith" about loving a game for what it is? Jfc you might as well start a pundit channel if you see everything as bad faith 😂
3:15 you can’t script comedy like this
Looks like Aggy let Parky finally step outside in the sun
I feel like this run had some bad boss AI. Like sometimes Sinh will just jump around the arena and give you no chances to do anything, other times he'll just stand around roaring. Sometimes the Watcher and Defender will rush you and other times one will stand back while the other fights you. Maybe the RNG in this game is just wacky.
It's nice to see even a good player hate ds2. Honestly thought maybe I was just badge... or maybe I am idk 🤷♂️. Kudos parky for this challenge I would lose my fucken mind lol
wtf why is parky so good at the worm 🤣that wasnt a punishment it was a showoff!
33:10 the witcher books are really good if you are into like fantasy, and then the games are set after the books so if you ever plan on playing the witcher 3 I highly recommend reading the books first they are so good, loved the vid also do u ever planning on doing some PvP on DS 1,2 or 3 I think it would make for a good stream ❤
Awesome video Parky and congrats for killing all bosses. Cool idea with retrospections once every few hours. That mirror effect was great as well, how was it done? In case of books lord of the rings perhaps movies are better but still worth to try books, along with hobbit. Chat gpt was trolly and i decided to ask him myself about old iron's king weapon also asked it about fav boss and it said fume knight from dlc :) btw don't believe reddit, it's full of BS and a massive waste of time. In case of frigid outskirts people say it's okay area only when they mean it's a coop area, cause at the beginning u can summon either people or NPC to then go to the boss. People who don't agree with this area beeing okay might still like the game itself, it's not like every area is great, just some are and same with bosses, there are cool ones and shitty ones. :D
Which game is going to be next with wheel of punishment for complaining? Maybe lords of the fallen?
That rhyming section flicked a switch in my head...now EVERYTHING i hear MUST RHYME!!!!!
It’s such a good bit dude.
The speaking in rhymes was gold 🤣
all I hear is buh
Wages?
all I hear is wages
All I hear is buh
Oh my god, the transition at 01:30:00 had me questioning my sanity
@40:55 I had no idea there was a lever. I literally just shot arrows at the boss while hiding in a corner
Nice video again, cheers from Germany
Ds2 was when I really got into the souls games , its my fav but I keep it a secret
0:16 - damn, the game is so good 😵
Bradosword. How define it. It's all that you need
1:27:00 I completely agree that this run back is fucked and having to use a humanity and dealing with those invaders every time you die is horrible. But you were made it even worse for yourself lol because there's actually a bonfire under drangleic castle that's right next to the old man😂😭
1:40 I'm pretty sure I've never defeated the duo cats, it might be the only boss in any soulsbornekiroring game that I haven't bothered finishing, because it was so boring to run back and the conjoined attacks felt like shit.
Frigid outskirts, iron passage and the gank squad was "ok" because they are meant to be a optional multiplayer area, you can summon 3 npcs on the outskirts to help travessing, for me the iron passage is the worst of the 3 optional areas. And in co-op with a friend the areas are a lot more bearable.
1:23:15 what would you want someone to say they watch you for?
as a dark souls 2 lover, frigid outskirts is not ok.
I started with ds 2.. I suffered a lot with it and eventually beat it.. so since I love misery, it's my favorite
No lock on as punishment in ds2? Rather a reward
The duo boss fight fight in the Frozen Outskirts is pretty unforgivable, but at least it gives you one of the best dex weapons in the game from the boss soul (cope).
Scholar of the First Gank
Game is over hated. Unnecessarily. It’s by no means the best Souls game. But the worst Souls game is still better than a lot of other games out there. That said, the bosses are all pretty rubbish, they’re all super easy.
I thoroughly enjoyed vanilla ds2, but the scholar version killed everything I liked about it
Well...Frigid outskirts is disgusting... But 2 problems with your experience with it.
Firstly, that DLC... is actually the LAST DLC, not the first one.
Secondly, it might be different in SotFS version, but in the frigid outskirts, there is supposed to be snow storms, but if you stay in place and wait for it to pass , you will have a few moments where you can see everything around you... Including the dears charging at you... You are kind of intended to stop and only be on the move when the storm is not raging
Here from the Dan Gheesling pipeline.
I love DS2 and have 600+ hours on it. With that said. Frigid Outskirts, I HATE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART. Same goes to Blue Smelter Demon run back.
46:44 He's beginning to believe...
Bruh the rhyming is so funny
