I was at Scots College from 1955 to 1959 and privileged to watch Ken Catchpole not only play the greatest Rugby of his era but Ken won the Honor Cap at Scots for academic excellence. His 1959 game for NSW at 19 at the SCG against the British Lions was to launch Ken to become the Greatest Scum Half's ever.
Legendary Lions coach Carwyn James stated that Ken Catchpole was the greatest passer of the ball he had seen . He believed that it was the speed of the pass NOT the length of the pass that was important.
Great tribute at the end from Bob Dwyer. Regards from blighty!
Miss those real rugby tours.
