Always amazes me how different these guys sounded in the Pig era. It's like a whole different band than with Keith, Brent and Vince. Pig's Mod kb style is so damn cool. The Same Thing jam is out of control compared to the straight bluesy version of the 90s.They just threw it out there with reckless abandonment in 66 and the results are magical. Thanks Okie! This is like a vintage bottle of whiskey that has been properly preserved at just the right temperature and humidity. Cheers!
Funny how as soon as Jerrysaid, "the winning number is 10" there no doubt that BIODTL was next. I noticed that some songs seemed to get faster and faster as they progressed. Wonder why? Hmmmmm.....😉
Interesting how in these early days their jamming didn’t sound all that different from the Velvet Underground live, especially with Pig’s sustained droning use of the keyboard which he phased out. It’s certainly less jazzy and more minimalist, almost impressionistic, and hypnotic with the emphasis on creating layers over a consistent groove.
These kids have potential.
If they stick around I think they will go far 😁😁😁

They'll never make it once acid rock dies out. 😏
@@staggerlee4979 love will show the way !!!
Bear.
This Cold Rain and Snow sounds like punk rock before there was punk rock. I'm glad they slowed it down. It's one of my favorite show openers. ☁☔❄
Still nothing live to beat the end of the studio version.

Definitely a time in forgotten space !!!!
There is something these guys found right off the bat that stamped them for the next decades. Sounds change, but that essence remains the same.
You don't even need L when you listen to this music, it takes you right there.

Nov 66...
It's too bad they never brought back Cream Puff War. I know Jerry was embarrassed about the lyrics, but it had a sick jam.
Rad
They called it groovy in the mid 60s. 😉🌈✌
