@WackoX1337 The two countries' teams marched together under the flag in the opening ceremonies of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, and the 2006 Asian Games in Doha; however, the two countries competed separately in sporting events. The flag was not used in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, due to the decision made by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, that the two teams would enter separately.

@WackoX1337 The Unification Flag is a flag designed to represent all of Korea when both North and South Korea participate in sporting events. The flag was first used in 1991 when the two countries competed as a single team in the 41st World Table Tennis Championship in Chiba, Japan and the 8th World Youth Football Championship in Lisbon, Portugal.

@WackoX1337 The flag represents North and South Korea. The background is white. In the centre there is a blue silhouette of the Korean peninsula, including the island of Jeju-do to the southwest and Ulleung-do to the east. The flag has no status as the official flag of either country.

Can somebody explain me what's going on? North and South Korea walking hand in hand?

So, North Korea is part of the communism of Soviet Union, while South Korea is an American ally. Meaning they wouldn't be in good terms, but due to the spirit of sport, The Korean Peninsula will compete united as one.

@@vynzznyv They did not compete as one team, they were together only for the opening ceremony. But you are right about the sportsmanship. Many north koreans support the south during the FIFA World Cup. Plus, most people of both countries don't see each other as enemies, they know that it is pretty much a political affair, which most of the other country's citizens have little to nothing to do with it.

We have to support North Korea forever, is the only country in the world that the West wants it or not, imposes fear and respect in the U.S.. Hopefully one day the unification of Korea, like the unification of Vietnam ;-)

Sorry, what? I don't know of anyone in the U.S. who either fears or respects North Korea.

Argumentum ad Hominem: Resorting to personal attacks in lieu of a real counterargument. Typically used when the offending party has nothing in the way of a real response.
