I have a good idea and have searched and search and haven't found one yet. There is certain products that do this but my idea makes that product 10x better. So the extra manufacturing wouldn't require alot of change. But it makes the current product way more effective. I've created an animated 3d render of the product and mostly how to make it. I working on a sales sheet as well. There is a part that is beyond me as in simple electronics. The problem is I am on disability and cant afford a licensing lawyer and things like contract guarantee's scare me. Id love to be a student for inventright but its way out of my budget :( I understand you need to spend money to make money tho. Submitting to Marc Portney is tempting but after watching some video's he swears so much in your interviews im not sure that is trustworthy lol. I can afford a prov patent I think (under $200?) but waiting to get some more of the sales sheet done before submitting. Thanks for any help because I have none.
i would like to retain the right to manufacture and sell my product myself (in addition to licensing to a company) and also retain the right to license to additional companies in case one underperforms. is what i want unreasonable or unlikely?
why China? there are lots of manufacturers in the USA. you'd be surprised. there is a big plastic manufacturing plant right down the street from me, but no one even knows it's there because the building is nondescript and hidden from the street. the only reason i know it's there is because i did a search
People buy products and always want new products. Companies need new products to sell. If you want to, you can always find an excuse. Here's a page of just a few of our students products currently on the market. If this isn't proof it's doable, i don't know what is. Licensing is licensing. You can license a little gag gift or something substantial like a $200 item. As long as there is a company that sells similar products, you can license it. yah well I don't know the cost of membership but it's nothing more than another party knowing what your idea is even before you have a provisional pat. I would think if your idea were solid, and you know what you're doing you probably would be ok providing it's a very good profitable Idea. but if you wanted to sell disposable widgets you might need a membership. think is I have invented a gold collecting contraptions that's for the normal people can use and move a lot more material than say a sluice box. I been on a lot of gold prospecting forums and there chomping at the bit waiting to see this Invention. I have made contact with 2 of the 15 manufactures that deserve this rip your tits off Invention.

Yes, it’s possible.
Considering the state of this ecconomy and Chinas manufacture issues i wonder how dificult it is now to accomplish these goals ?
