Outstanding Caya, the irony is that you are an influencer who adds massive value to your audience. It would be interesting to see if there is scope to pivot to a media company doing high quality content like this
Where influencers are winning, it's because they're doing marketing as we want to receive it. But often marketers are accountable to bosses, corporations much more than accountable to their target market. And there lies the problem.
I mostly watch only RUclips and RUclips shorts but I got RUclips premium and don’t have to worry about ads, I could get an ad blocker but issues with playing videos in the background on my phone lead me to getting the service.
Ads during the TVC/Print/Radio ("traditional media") era was all about top-of-mind. The intent was to wedge their product so tightly in your mind, at the highest priority levels, so that the next time you're on that aisle looking to buy something in that product's category, their brand is at the top of your decision-making. Or maybe to even make you buy something you didn't know you wanted, but, hey your brain went back to that ad you saw on TV and the barrier for entry for that product isn't high, so why not? Like my ad mentor in uni said, if an ad makes someone immediately go out and buy something, that's amazing. But that wasn't the intent of the ad. Top-of-mind at the point of decision-making on what to buy, or even IF to buy, was the objective. Which is partly why a small hobby of mine is to note what's at the Point-of-Purchase racks while waiting in line to pay. Because PoP is a fun exercise in getting someone to buy something more. I also hate how, with all my ad and PR training, PoP stuff still gets me. I think I DO want that small bar of Snickers.
if youre going to mention apple, you absolutely must mention dieter rams. its not just that apple is “cooler.” their interface was much more user friendly and sleek, making it appealing to people who weren’t as comfortable with tech back when it was new. a big part of how they consistently get their tech to have that clean, stylish look is due to the original designers basing their work off of the teaching of dieter rams and 10 principles of good design.
What I hate about influencers is the lack of QUALITY. Every product placement is done so cheaply and sleazy that it degrades the domains of marketing and media. Quality doesn't even matter anymore, it seems. A well written, well edited, well performed creative piece MIGHT get a few thousand views, but a moronic video of a "famous" teenager doing a stupid dance while holding an energy drink gets hundreds, if not, millions of views. The world has turned into a dopamine-hacked clown world where the internet narcissists are winning the game. 🤡

I'm more likely to buy from companies who give free samples, because their product have to be actually good. You also can't trust a site recommendation, because it's likely sponsored.

So the counter is like: I'm going to show you a picture of 1000 brands crammed together for 2 seconds and then count that you've seen 1000 ads.
The quality of the video is amazing 👏🏼 I'll b back to rewatch when this goes viral
Outstanding Caya, the irony is that you are an influencer who adds massive value to your audience. It would be interesting to see if there is scope to pivot to a media company doing high quality content like this
22:55 yup! This is the part l worry about. But I’ll have to opt-in soon regardless. Unfortunately/fortunately? 🤷🏾♂️
Great videos👌🏾
Thanks for delivering real gold. The story telling is top-notch !
What's with the circled number in the upper right corner randomly popping up?
Where influencers are winning, it's because they're doing marketing as we want to receive it. But often marketers are accountable to bosses, corporations much more than accountable to their target market. And there lies the problem.
I mostly watch only RUclips and RUclips shorts but I got RUclips premium and don’t have to worry about ads, I could get an ad blocker but issues with playing videos in the background on my phone lead me to getting the service.
that ad counter now I want an AI one the lives in my web browser
You nailed it! "Being fake!"
Great video 👏 I really appreciate your content. Can you please tell me where those peg hole walls + shelving in your video are from?
Thanks!!
Pegboard were custom made 🤓

This is a great video! I’m writing a paper on digital marketing right now, do you have any sources you can share?
if youre going to mention apple, you absolutely must mention dieter rams.
its not just that apple is “cooler.” their interface was much more user friendly and sleek, making it appealing to people who weren’t as comfortable with tech back when it was new. a big part of how they consistently get their tech to have that clean, stylish look is due to the original designers basing their work off of the teaching of dieter rams and 10 principles of good design.
the problem is less option.
we need french or german social media.
right now we only have
silicon valley.

I just became a subscriber. Thank you for your wonderful expertise and insight on marketing/marketing in contemporary times. Sadly, it furthers my belief that the world is ending, lol.
To be honest the counter at the top right corner had me distracted the entire time while trying to understand the content of the video. Either way nice content!!!!
This is great Jose!
Your videos are gems.
Let me guess you use an iPhone? 🤔
Congrats on the great content, you guys really are great making this videos, you sparked my curiosity
This video is amazing!
Also what's tha counter in the top righthand corner?
And all the arrows😅
I'm more likely to buy from companies who give free samples, because their product have to be actually good. You also can't trust a site recommendation, because it's likely sponsored.
An absolutely fascinating perspective, thanks.
This is very informative, we like your channel, keep it up 👍
Slibebean, I am more into convenances than anything else. I have things because of the simple fact it is convenance to me. Price does matter some but how it makes my life better is why I buy to be honest. Thank you for this video and for SHARING!
This is your best video yet, Mr Bean!
Hey what’s that counter on the top right corner of the video?
i miss insta but pokemon go keeps gettting updates and makes me delete most apps i use
When the chart popped up, it mentioned the source in the bottom right corner, it’s a company, but it wasn’t counted! Credits are marketing too. 😅
my adblocker indicates 224 ads blocked.
Brilliant as always. A man of great perspicacity with an ability to Clearly articulate complex concepts.
If only your sponsor watched your video beforehand they could have tried to advertize it on tiktok.
We must never forget

You're not talking about marketing, you're talking about advertising.
I more than ignore ads if an ad is especially annoying i wont buy that product out of spite
I feel like our host is what everyone is going to look like when we finally interbreed to the point where racism is eliminated.
would love a video on the economics of the "Slidebean Yt channel" as a part of the slidebean company!
how do you guys run it as a part of slidebean - does it have it's separate P/L ? or is it part of marketing ?
What % of revenue attributed to this channel is sponsors vs product sales?
Kinda made it already:
ruclips.net/video/JI7Vm9RbaG0/видео.html
More recently, we have been branching out a separate P&L- and considering it a business line of its own.
@@slidebean hey thanks a ton !

Your TikTok feed is surprisingly sane
Very insightful video, asking just the right questions and worthy of a Zoom to discuss the points. Thoroughly enjoyed
