@@backupwhatever8928 honestly you’ll be fine. i ended up sitting intermediate not higher tier bc i was in school for the whole of year 11. but i got a B on that (the highest grade you can get) without opening a text book the whole year or going to lessons.
Please make more of these - this is literally ideal revision as a year 11 student. It’s so easy to watch and teaches me the method quickly. Thanks will!
sorry to burst you bubble but this exam rlly is a piece of piss, but you shouldnt be nervous, if you get your head down, youll feel exactly how will does in this video :)
I didn't start revising until year 11 and got nothing below a 6 in all my GCSEs, it's good if you put post its in a place you look at a lot e.g. your mirror. And then you subconsciously learn stuff
Already done my gcse a few years ago but this video makes me feel like u took all the stress of the exam being serious and stressful. Like not to worry too much vibes
Christ - This has given me anxiety, especially considering that I'd forgotten everything about circle theorem and that "Congruency" was a term... plus I've completely forgotten how to simplify factorials
Question 2 asked for an estimate, which if I remember rightly means just take the first significant digit of each number, i.e. do 60x0.8/200 = 48/200 = 0.24
Tbh I have been going through a lot recently and the only thing that makes me happy is family friends and wills vids just gotta say out of everyone I’ve watched you have always been my favourite
Did this with you, mine has slipped as well. Most of what you got wring was working out. When you got the working wrong you still got the right answer. When you got the answer wrong you had good working out. I got a low A doing this paper with you. You're still clever. I got an A* in maths and now barely scrape an A
I never did proper GCSEs. reason being, i missed year 9 as i took a year out of school when i was 14 because i was recovering from a back operation (it was 9hrs and had to learn to walk again), so i when i was in year 9 i was a whole year older than everyone else which resulted in me not doing year 11 and going straight from year 10 to college which I then, whilst doing a childcare course, did key skills maths and English equivalent gcses, on the computer, multiple choice which was wayyyy easier and less stressful....
I got A's in both my nat 5 and higher maths, only been out of school for almost 3 years, and can confidently say I could barely answer a single one of those questions
I would probably not do well on a non calculator maths paper now, I'm currently mid way through an engineering masters so my entire life with maths just revolves around matlab at this point. Barely use normal calculators now
How can you be questioning Basil for having a bottle cap - when the real question is... why do you still have the B&J Freezer after Jimbo won it fair and square?? 👀
As the WIllNE channels resident American, I assume this is the English equivalent to our SAT/ACT which we take to go from high school (I think your secondary school) to college (obviously your university) and they were more similar than I expected. I was horrible at math so I did bad lmao but I remember seeing a lot of this, wording is very different but that's to be expected
Almost! GCSEs are taken to go from secondary to what the UK calls college-it’s different to university, you go from ages 16 to 18. I think this specific paper is a foundation maths paper, so it’s not testing the whole GCSE maths curriculum.
@@itmoi9507 Interesting, so what you guys are doing at 16 we're doing at 18. I always wondered why your drinking age was so low but that makes much more sense considering how yours is pretty much half way in between college like ours is rather than at the end of our high school lol.

A lot of things become stats specific later, at GCSE level it's all just thrown into a general maths subject instead.

I think it's a statistics thing? Ik you do more of it in the stats paper in A-level maths
I take A-Level maths and I can say that box plots are in the stats section of maths.
