during quarantine Taylor took tons of inspiration from books and movies and tolerate it was inspired by the novel Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. It’s about a woman who feels gaslit and manipulated by her new husband and his home staff and feels haunted by his late wife’s presence in the home. (from MonaMoon) and how when she was reading it she realized that she could relate to the main character because she had felt the same way at some point in her life.
Taylors songwriting has always been amazing. Speak now her 2011 album was completely written by just her and the storytelling and the emotion has always been there. Dear john and would've could've shouldve were both written about john mayer. It would be cool for you to react to dear john to hear her maturity to the relationship already. I feel like evermore and folklore made people realize just how intelligent Taylor Swift is with her lyrics. Just because they are not pop sounding attracted people but Taylor is just as intelligent with her lyrics in more pop sounding songs as well. As others have mentioned I highly reccomend watching her documentary, it really will help you understand her better.
I would love to see you do either a reaction or analysis of her documentary ‘Miss Americana’, I feel it gives a really interesting look into her psychology and I think you would have some really valuable insights.
There are so many great taylor swift songs I'd love to see your reactions to, here are some good ones: all too well (10 minute version), Marjorie, Ronan, nothing new, peace, this is me trying, invisible string, Exile, champagne problems, forever winter, you're on your own kid, and clean.
This is a wonderful listen thru and analysis and discussion of the song and how it describes relationships of all kinds. A great counter-song to this would be "Sweet Nothing" from the Midnights album. It's one she wrote with her current partner and sort of describes exactly what you were talking about as far as feeling secure and validated in a romantic partnership.
I would love to see analysis of the song Happiness. I’m not sure if you’ve read or seen the great gatsby, but the song is about a dissolving divorce but with gatsby allusions. Also the song all too well(10 minute version)
you should for sure listen do 'All Too Well 10min version' from her if you haven't heard yet. you probably would have a lot to comment. not gonna say anything else...
I love your videos, I love that you are so sentimental like me, I would love for you to react to CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS by Taylor Swift, it is a really sad but beautiful song, GOOD VIBES ✨
Thanks 🙂 I made a video on that a few months ago if you have a look. Some churches are condemning of demographics who are no more sinners than themselves and seem to forget those people are beloved by God and included in the offer of salvation. Other churches aren’t honest about the demands for change on everyone who takes up that offer, regardless of their sexuality.
Not to beg for more Taylor swift content but I’m just so curious about your reactions to a few more songs! My Tears Ricochet Right where you left me You’re on your own kid Ok byeeeeee

It’s very validating when you discover that it’s not just you and it is actually BS.

Oh and there are people that interpret this as a daughter to father song too. Bc of bad dad relationship s
I guess because she’s so mysterious about the inspiration for songs, it allows others to relate them to similar difficult relationships.
