    Benji we need a part 2! For the soya sauce, vinegar, sauces, and paste, section! I would love to see which ones you get for different dishes. That section is the most daunting because there are so many different types used for different dishes and ways! Thank you!🎉

    Beef neck bones are the new oxtails. They are still cheap, and many Vietnamese restaurants are using them in Pho.

    Oyster mushroom is the cheapest at Asian stores ($3.99-4.99 per lb) vs ($9.99+) at American grocery stores.
    For Vietnamese groceries in the PNW, you would need to go to 99 Ranch on highway 99 right down the street from Costco business in Lynnwood!!

    OMGee. Use to hit that store and the food vendors anytime I had to make a SeaTac run from Whisbey Island. It was my go to to give my guests their first arrival meal there. No complaints for 18 years and fun to see how this Seattle home grown family small business has evolved for more than four decades. It is the toychstone for the International District. It is great for groceries, gifts and hot meals too. I loved the food vendors gave an extra plate assuming customers would be sharing and so family friendly.

      Costco on Oahu sells bags of individual servings dehydrated Miso. It is very tasty and easy to make even in a hotel room as a quick breakfast prelude for the kids while on a trip. It is very tasty and satisfying for empty tummies at the beginning or a before bed snack. Next time try the Costco New York Roll for $9.99. It is big enough to share and a healthy fast food. I use to run by to pick one up on Sunday after church for a quick lunch or dinner just for myself. 7-11 there has great hot and cold food options to take to the beach or a park. A Japanese company bought them and greatly improved their fast food options.

    I’m curious why you seem to pronounce Hawaii as ‘Ha-why’ without the last syllable, instead of ‘Ha-why-ee’? I’ve noticed this across multiple videos that you’ve mentioned Hawaii before.

    Benji, I just returned to USA from Japan 12 hours ago. I was really looking forward to this trip especially after watching your Japan travel videos. It was my first trip to Japan and I absolutely enjoyed every part of it!! It’s such a beautiful country with interesting culture, architecture, and delicious foods!! I had 7-11 breakfast for the first four days (jetlag) - I couldn’t get over how jammie the soft boiled eggs were 🤤 Missing Japan already and looking forward to my next visit 😍

    I live in a different state, but I would love to know what the price differences are when it comes to your groceries & knowing how when to buy something that's a good price vs "it's kinda expensive right now" if that makes sense!

    Hey Benji! We have the “English” Miso here in Singapore. I personally buy the dashi version. One way I use up my miso is to use it on oven baked fish like cod and salmon. I mix a heap tablespoon of miso with honey/ maple syrup (the real deal) and minced garlic, smear a layer of it over my fillet of fish and bake it! Slurps. Give it try!

    We shop for most of our Asian groceries at T&T in Toronto. Actually, the original founder of T&T was from Taiwan and they have a large selection of Taiwanese products (better place to find pineapple cakes - I don’t recommend the ones you bought from Costco before). However, they also carry many goods from China, Southeast Asia and Japan. T&T is now owned and operated by Loblaw Companies.

    RUclipsrs be so uncomfortable vlogging in public. not this narcissistic man

    • @wctoronto
      @wctoronto 9 месяцев назад +1

      I don’t think you understand what the definition of narcissism is. He said he stopped filming because the security guards advised him to despite that he has received approval several times. A narcissist likely would not care to ask for permission and/or would not stop filming even when instructed to. A narcissist consistently and frequently displays traits such of selfishness, deception, prone to lie, manipulative, prone to say offensive and/or insensitive things, focused on their own motivations first, and dismisses/values less of those who provide little to no benefit to them, etc. Benji does not have these underlying characteristics.
      Being confident about filming in public does not make a person a narcissist. You can be uncomfortable about filming but still show confidence… that is not a narcissistic trait.
