    Iridescent Shark:
    Despite its name, it is not a shark. It belongs to the catfish family. Iridescent sharks can grow up to 4 feet. They move hundreds of kilometers upstream to spawn during the flood season. Iridescent sharks easily get startled. Their tanks should be located in quiet, low-traffic areas.
    Freshwater stingray:
    Freshwater stingrays are some of the most unique aquarium fish you could ever own. They have a flexible skeleton made of cartilage rather than bone. Stingrays have a venomous barb on top of their tails, which they use as a defense mechanism. They have excellent eyesight and leap out of the sand to trap prey with their bodies.
    Black Pacu Fish:
    The Black Pacu is a large, fruit-eating species of fish found in the upper Amazon river basin. They can reach 3 feet in length and weigh over 30 kgs. They are generally sold as juveniles and are often mistaken for the similar looking piranha. It is the second largest species of scaled fish found in Amazon river.
    Senegal Bichir:
    This is one of the few nocturnal fish species found in freshwater lagoons, marshes and swamps of tropical Africa. They are also known by many other names like " dinosaur eel" and "dragon fish". The aquarium should have tight fitting cover as it is an excellent escape artist. This fish relies on its excellent sense of smell to locate food.
    Japanese Koi:
    They are beautiful swimming jewels. Koi are symbol of love and friendship in Japan. This fish can be found in shrines and Japanese gardens, even in the ponds of private homes. A Koi can grow up to 3 feet in length and can swim vigorously even in a cold pond.
    Tinfoil Barb:
    Tinfoil Barbs got their name from their gleaming silver scales that look like tinfoil. They are a schooling fish and must be kept with at least six of their own kind. Tinfoil Barbs can grow up to approximately 14 inches, making them a hefty aquarium addition.
    Indian Knifefish:
    High Body and small head give a humpback appearance to this fish. It usually is silvery grey with a series of silvery bars along the back. It can reach length up to 48 inches. One must have a gigantic aquarium to accommodate this fish.
    Banded Leporinus:
    Banded Leporinus look like a torpedo shaped bumblebee. They are found in creeks and streams of Amazon river basin. They require a very large aquarium as the fish quickly grow to over a foot in length and are avid jumpers.
    Walking Catfish:
    The walking catfish is native to Southeast Asia. It is found in muddy substrates of several water systems. It is common to see the walking catfish outside of the water after heavy rains. This fish can grow to be 18 inches long.
    Hi-Fin Loach:
    Hi-Fin Loach is also known as Hi-fin Banded Shark. It is endemic to the Yangtze River Basin. in China. It has very distinct tan and brown striping as a juvenile, but the bands disappear as it matures. Fully grown Hi-Fin sharks can reach lengths up to 4.5 feet.
