At that Episode no one knew the significance of that single line, but after watching the whole show, Damn!
As much as I liked the Invincible's journey, The Omni Man's character arc was so mystic, from everyones beloved solo superhero (like Superman) to 'you know what'!

Are people here to watch the reaction or are they here to watch the show? Pretty sure everyone having seen it already goes against your argument because they've already seen it so why the fuck are they complaining about it being censored. See I'd agree with you if they always muted the audio and have the opacity at 10% because then you can't tell which scene is which. But to wail like children over 2 second blurring of something you've already seen is pathetic.

It doesn't matter, they're the ones who are watching the video, not you, so even if they completely remove the video and only keep the discussion part, does it ACTUALLY affect you as a viewer who's already seen it?
I started reading the books after watching this show and I can't wait for more to come! What's crazy is that omniman is probably in the above-average category of viltrumites in terms of strength. Can't wait for more seasons.
You guys mentioned how in a way Omni-man is superman but ironically I think that Invincible is the Superman archetype character in that he is the one willing to help, he has this innate desire to do good and is quite compassionate.

If Superman decided to destroy earth, this is how it's gonna happen.
to me violence in caroons is more effective than live action. In cartoons fake guys get fake killed, in live action real guys pretending to be fake guys pretent that their fake guy persona gets killed, while not pretending to be actually killed for real. It's two levels more removed from being real as compared to cartoons (as long as you don't count the voice actors).
absolute lovely animation they did at the end of the episode with omni man killing every alien
the budget for this show was so low and they still somehow made it feel above average animation
now that this show has been a huge success the second season of the show will have Amazon's budget which will make the animation even better than it already is
im so excited for season 2 especially coz i have read the comics im just so curious to see where they go with this coz in comics it isnt this fast paced you just can't predict where they'll go with this show

This is definitely a fun show to watch. Glad I decided to finally check it out.
I think Invincible would be better off seeing where things go with Eve and wait a while for her to break up with the boyfriend character. I don't see that relationship lasting long because he is too full of himself.
Also that callback to Mark throwing that bag of trash from the Burgermart into the air in episode 1 landing where the father and son were at in England later was pretty funny.
Amber seems trifling and I can see how much people would end up hating the character. I can see it already after two episodes.🤣

Love this show (& the comic), at the beginning the explosion is a consequence of Mark throwing a rubbish bag half way across the world when he discovers he has powers (episode 1). Also I agree about the art, the tone, it feels familiar, comfortable, which is different to the graphic content. The things don't go together, so it stops you from being fully comfortable, gives you a level of anxiety which goes with the feeling that anything could happen at any time, and sometimes it does!!!

Achara was absolutely correct when it came to Allen the Alien and Omnimans previous interactions. It’s actually brought up in the comics, While the fight was going on, Allen mentions that the previous protector never spoke to him.

How did you miss the dialogue "Earth is not yours to conquer". That says it all about Omniman's true intentions.
You're looking at it from the perspective of already knowing his true intentions. That's not something you'd 100% piece together by Episode 2 without any outside context from what you've seen. It's intentionally vague to be a callback later, not meant to garner a reaction right at that moment. With how little you actually know about Omni-man at this point, it'd be easy to say, "Oh, it's not your planet because I'm protecting it. You don't own Earth."
You're not special, mate. Don't be a jackass and pretend like first-time viewers should know what hasn't been revealed to them yet. Even worse, don't be the prick that delivers spoilers.

I think Jaby and especially Achara have vastly misinterpreted the personality of Omni-Man. Clearly he doesn't take pleasure in killing. He's driven by a sense of duty to his homeworld which is further explained in the finale. Not gonna spoil that for you guys but yeah he's nothing like Homelander. The evil Superman comparison makes more sense with Omni-Man than it does with Homelander. Omni-Man is a man on a mission and Homelander is an egotistical psychopath with a completely fabricated public persona.
Omniman is more like the Red Son Superman than Homelander
This could be interpreted as a spoiler careful how you structure your description. Save such an exposing comment for the last episode. But by that point they would have figured out what you're saying and you wouldn't be able to be an insightful knowitall.

If you're actually paying attention I don't see how you come to the conclusion that he gets any pleasure from killing anyone with just these first 2 episodes.

@@daddylonglegs8712 interpretation is subjective. The manner in which he kills people could be seen as him taking pleasure in doing it. Its hard not to think he was revelling in his own badassery while he was wiping out the flaxans. He clearly has an ego. Arguably his sense of duty is perpetuated by his ego. I think to say he takes no pleasure in killing and using that criteria to disregard the comparison of homeland to omniman is half baked. Its not the only thing they can be seen as similar in.

You're feeling weird about the tone because Invincible doesn't go full edgy and pessimistic like The Boys, but also doesn't keep it family friendly like every other superhero movie. It's merely realistic
The R-Rating in Invincible is there for one reason alone, to show the ugly side superheroing. The lost hopeless battles the heroes will face, the blood that's spilled and bones that are broken with each hit, the civilian lives that are lost along the way, etc.
But it's not completely pessimistic, just real, that's what separates Invincible from the rest of the other gore-fest superhero movies

Robot is the leader of the team, he has a higher level of intelligence than all of them and seems to be the most trusting to Cecil. The powerhouse of the team is Atom Eve based on her powers. Rex Splode is the true arsenal based on the weapons he uses, Dupli-Kate is probably the most underrated member of the team due to her cloning abilities which are useful in both hand-to-hand combat and stealth missions. This leads to Mark Grayson the newest member of the team. His powers are so far growing which makes him by far the most unpredictable hero right now.
