As a Thai person, I also wanna move to the Philippines coz the cost of living in Thailand has skyrocketed. Our government doesn't care about Thai business, and we have to pay full-tax. By 2020, a newly issued property tax will be imposed on those who own more than one property. It's sad to say our government has kowtowed to the Chinese, exempting income and property taxes for them. Alibaba and other Chinese companies are allowed to build their distributing centers without paying any importing taxes for at least 15 years.
@@Property-Club Every second real estate in any form of home or even empty land will be taxed based on the estimated value. The more we own, the higher we pay this property tax. The economic situation in Thailand is worsening. Our currency, the Baht, is rising already passing the threshold above 30 Bt. This is killing off all Thai exporters. 😡
@LagiNaLangAko23 The property prices have already bloated by temporary demand by the Chinese 🇨🇳. When this unsustainable demand dries up, the inflated prices are already beyond the local capacity. The crisis ensues.😞
The same lifestyle is more expensive in the Phils vs Thailand. Even for foreigners but especially if you are Thai. Don't go to the Phils, you will regret it.

After moving from Thailand to the Philippines the taxi drivers would ask me how the Filipina girls compare to Thai women. I developed a good answer. In Thailand the girls say "Thank you Buddah for too many customers tonight" Filipina girls will say "Forgive me father for what I did last night. 2 times" lol
I was in the Philippines first time in 1998 and on a regular basis since 2004. I love it here and I agree with everything you said. Since I also lived in Thailand I know also why Thailand is not a place you would choose to live unless it was bc you were married to a Thai and spoke the language.
The changes and the enforcing of the immigration rules for long stays in Thailand did not go unnoticed by the Philippine government. I am thinking that perpetual tourist VISA's will end someday, as they have in Thailand. There will be financial responsibility and background checks to stay in the PH eventually.

Not only that, my 1st cousin is former Mayor Rolen Paulino which makes the current Mayor, Rolen Paulino, Jr. my 2nd cousin. My place of birth was the former U. S. Clark Air Force base. My wife will qualify for SSA in a couple of years but she wants to work until she reaches full retirement in 2027. You caught my attention at the 5:50 mark of your vlog when you started talking about large corporations looking to hire expats? Here in Las Vegas and the rest of the U.S. there is such a thing called age discrimination that is very difficult to prove.
You did ask what would it be like if you come back to Australia, if you ditch the wife and kids, move into an inexpensive sailboat and liveaboard, you can get by on $6000 a year, all inclusive of food, expenses fees and charges and live on the most beautiful waterways in the world, and pull up to the free 24 hour dock and do your supermarket shopping in the heart of Sydney. It is possible, you just have to think out of the box. Kiddies and wife means a bigger yacht, and means bigger budget, still doable.
The reason why filipinos are so smiling and friendly could be rooted to the religion and how their family raises them. In the Philippines, my mother always think about our neighbor than their own son lol. In school also, we don’t like over confident people. Our teachers value attitude more than intelligence.
Exactly! You've been indoctrinated into illogical believes. For us Thais, everything that's against human nature and the natural truth (Dharma) is illogical. In human nature every mother loves her own babies the most, if she says something else she's lying... No wonder why the Philippines has been struggling to be independent for CENTURIES, while Thailand has always been independent even though we lost it to our neighbor twice but we took it back quickly. We the Thais love our independence and our freedom.

I dont know but it is automatic to us Filipinos that if there is a visitor we will smile and very welcoming. Even we have less money we will go to nearby store to get snacks for them.
Many chinese are coming here to get away from their government in china. Here, they can do things that would get them in deep shit in their own country. Here, they can get rich fast by dealing in drugs that would have earned them a death penalty in china and have their organs sequestered by rich, sick chinese bigwigs. Here, they are free to indulge with their wildest, most depraved fantasies. Get it?
I'm glad that you have chosen the Philippines as your home and have wonderful experiences with my countrymen. We just basically treat foreigners as distant relatives who came to visit us and we have to make their stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Filipinos should check this view of his because this only happens in the Philippines. When they visit other countries for work, it would be a rude awakening for them to expect being treated in the same manner. Other foreign cultures may treat them quite cruelly and sometimes like slaves. I just hope and pray our country progresses more so our countrymen could come back home and enjoy the quality of life that foreigners enjoy when they settle here. God knows how homesick they are not seeing their family for years and not enjoying the Philippines as much as foreigners do. As citizens they should enjoy the Philippines as much as foreigners.
I am 20 years now in the philippines and at 50 to 60 i met over 250 women just walking up to girls and giggling ans saying single? I gave out business cards and a folded $2. or 100 pesos and said buy load and text me and we meet for a movie...i actually got 8 to 9 i approached to meet and about 6 out of ten came to either aopartment or short time hotel. then i lived with a girl for 4 years, had a baby and got friends of parents to sell land in my pinoy son's name after 8 years and build a house high up yet sheltered on an acre or 5000+ sqm. it is an incredable view and was raw land owner financed for 4 years, my lawyer and costs for $3.00 a sqm. 4 years later it cost 17000 usd for the lot and all facing ocean, then about $40,000 for a five bedroom 3 bath house that is terraced for three floors ...of course we needed a driveway so $400 usd for the right of way and then $800 got us 3 steel telephone poles and 300 m of line or three football fields to house and basic electric inside wiring ... water lines were about the same cost with tanks for when water not running, and higher than house to pressurize the house.Lots of work and fun and cut some trees and built a shack to live until enough done to move it...it is stellar... so women or a place to stay it is awesome and food healthy. try in thailand to just walk up to any girl in the mall or in manila and try to open conversation and have your cell number or card accepted or get hers...cebu and other major cities , women are still friendly and do smile back . I once had five maids that each was a gf and when i had no dates one would sleep with me and they were head turners and brought from leyte to cebu where i began dressing them up scandously and taking them dancing walking inn with five sexy girls. soo very much fun and 10 to 15 years later a couple still contact me every year and most married foreigners and left the country lol. Each received $80 a month and food and maids had a shared room and bunkbeds. no date got over 10 usd, maybe five in ten years got 20 dollars ...wow.slowly all were replaced and i found a real farmer's daughter who had met foreigners and also knew my past...eventually she remained and i slowly saw her worth. Yes she prays the rosary every night and is not wild but looks very wild. We recently visited thailand and many asked or thought she was thai. You will love the philippine women...and yes they speak some or fluent english depending on level of education and grades. I have only gone home with 2 hookers in my life...most were high school or college students who could use an "allowance"...but they do stay with their hubbies...one maid is now over ten years with hers, a usa citizen and as beautiful model body and face as you will find ...but short hehee.

@JPC1SDH The 2 most common ways are like this: Marry a filipina, preferably a filipino-chinese, then buy property through her. That's the most common chicom(chinese communist) method, americans and others also do this. But there's a difference, most westerners are alone and easily scammed by gold-diggers. Not so with the chicoms. Then there's the corporate way: Foreigners can own upto 40% of a philippine company. So rich chicoms sets up companies with filipino partners, again preferably filipino-chinese but any greedy, unprincipled filipino will do nicely. The pinoy partner, if poor, is set up to "own" the 60% of said company, though in reality the chicom owns everything lock, stock & barrel. So what's to prevent them from being scammed? Triads! Scam at your own risk, and your entire family too. I'm sure no sane filipino, preferably filipino-chinese, wants to suffer the death of a thousand cuts. And we all know how easy it is to buy the cooperation of Philippine officials to turn a blind eye.

You should mention beaches and all those tourists spots also the weather. So many countries don't have beaches like the Philippines.
Some beautiful beaches, what is a pity is how many otherwise beautiful spots are littered beyond belief. Is the country incapable of dealing with the trash or do the people just not get it? It wasn't just the base in Subic bay, the Philippines was a U.S. colony then became a commonwealth and used the base. Bank of America, Citibank has been there for over 100 years.
Insightful comment, do you know more about these new property taxes?
@@Property-Club Every second real estate in any form of home or even empty land will be taxed based on the estimated value. The more we own, the higher we pay this property tax. The economic situation in Thailand is worsening. Our currency, the Baht, is rising already passing the threshold above 30 Bt. This is killing off all Thai exporters. 😡
@LagiNaLangAko23 The property prices have already bloated by temporary demand by the Chinese 🇨🇳. When this unsustainable demand dries up, the inflated prices are already beyond the local capacity. The crisis ensues.😞

The changes and the enforcing of the immigration rules for long stays in Thailand did not go unnoticed by the Philippine government. Let me ask you, what happens if they tear the building down? As far as a condo
The sound is not so great
You did ask what would it be like if you come back to Australia, if you ditch the wife and kids, move into an inexpensive sailboat and liveaboard, you can get by on $6000 a year, all inclusive of food, expenses fees and charges and live on the most beautiful waterways in the world, and pull up to the free 24 hour dock and do your supermarket shopping in the heart of Sydney. It is possible, you just have to think out of the box. Kiddies and wife means a bigger yacht, and means bigger budget, still doable.
Philippines definitely does not welcome arrogant visitors who think they're better, more civilised, disrespectful, and entitled.

What kind of income could an American make in one of these offices?
How's the WiFi speeds?
In your dreams, dude.
But before making that move, perhaps read some of the Philippines vlogs?
Our country Philippines is welcome to all foreigners.. You can do what ever you do.. As long as you obey the law of land.. Welcome to our 7641 island 😂

I subscribed! Been here in Thailand for five years fully retired. I've lived in Korea, Germany and all over the U.S! I think the"last straw" is coming up. My Police Check Just got cleared. Looks like the SRRV expanded visa will be what I do once I pull the plug here. Lesson's learned were not exciting at times! No money or Health Insurance issues but some Immigration Officers here can be quite nasty and unprofessional due to underpaid and overworked.
Thanks Peter we love you🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I love Philippines I was in boracay couple of years back I like to retire there
Watching you from Dublin Ireland
I'm Filipino and Australian. Filoz and approved this.
Welcome 😃New subie 🥰🇵🇭
Looking forward to moving to the Philippines (probably the Visaya region) in July 2021. Have a beautiful girlfriend living in Bohol. I’ve been to the Philippines about seven times now visiting, (Mindano and Cebu regions). Many areas that truly are like paradise… People are definitely friendly… The women are indeed gorgeous :). Can’t wait to live there.
Many Chinese here now own many many properties i don’t know why they have that a lot of money hmmmm
Wondering how Chinese can own property if Americans can't...
@JPC1SDH
The 2 most common ways are like this:
Marry a filipina, preferably a filipino-chinese, then buy property through her.
Expats please leave Thailand for anywhere you feel more comfortable. Immigration Office looks forward to the reduced crowds in the office.
asiaexpat62 especially those cheapo expats and retirees who couldn’t make it in their home country or in Thailand. Filipinos love you!
Thailand dont need you..Covid..
I left Thailand last night just imagine the least expensive item.n Suvarnami Airport was 500ml water costing 80baht. Thailand is no longer the cheap hunting tourists paradise for sure.
While Filipinos are trying to go to Thailand.
as tourist coz its cheaper to buy goods for retail etc.and as English teachers coz Thai employers hired them with excellent compensations
Thanks for ur time and enjoyed the vlog! I've become a new sub as of today! I'm interested in all of the particulars but especially the luxury living! Would it be possible to show some of the luxurious houses available to buy and or build! I've just built a custom home in Mrtyle Beach,SC and would like to live between both US and the Pines! Thank you for any help! As I'm Black does that 'friendliness' extend to African American...from what you've seen! Lol Are there darker skinned Flipina? I've heard there's an island called or close to Negras...not really sure! Thanks, again!

What is the meaning of expat?
Expats are westerners going to Third World or Developing Countries--; people coming from the latter are called Immigrants. Please disregard the arrogance of the Westerners who still think they have the wherewithals to look down on the Orientals or coolies. They are in rapid decline and so pretty soon this will be a thing in the past.
Don't forget if you are kind to Filipinos they are also very kind to you but if you are rude to them they just don't think of it
Mostly Christmas is best in the Philippines🎅
