    I've been to 66 of the 81 provinces in the Philippines - and sailed 10,000 miles around this magic tropical paradise by sail boat and everywhere I have been the people are friendly and helpful. The more remote the friendlier they are! I have also written 5 books on the country - short stories, the cruising guide to the country and life experiences in my 22 years living here. I've been to 50 countries … and the Philippines is my favourite! Hoping to do a 48 day motorcycle trip around the country next March on my 48 year old Norton (bought new in 1971) - I have been told that when I reach Davao I will get to ride with President Duterte who has a big bike and rides with the 'Sunday Riders' - The Caribbean has 50 coral species, while the Philippines has around 500. For every 1 part of land there are 7 parts of water. Go by boat here there and everywhere - superb volcanic scenery everywhere and the most marine biodiversity on our planet! So much to do and see, and as you say a people friendly beyond compare!

      the great place to do motorbike riding (with group of riders) is from guihulngan to dumaguete city (negros island)
      it's such a picturesque place, especially overlooking deep blue oceans below. quite mesmerizing
      another one is from surigao city to cantilan, surigao del sur
      also from carcar, cebu to santander, cebu
      it's best to do this group motorbike (caravan / convoy) during summer when it's not rainy / wet
      the deep blue & turquoise blue waters (from an overlooking perspective) is so magnetic 🧲

If you're after a genuine smile, go to the provincials, coz city girls will make you think you're back in the states. But...do it ONLY after I had my pick first! As a Thai person, I also wanna move to the Philippines coz the cost of living in Thailand has skyrocketed. Our government doesn't care about Thai business, and we have to pay full-tax. By 2020, a newly issued property tax will be imposed on those who own more than one property. It's sad to say our government has kowtowed to the Chinese, exempting income and property taxes for them. Alibaba and other Chinese companies are allowed to build their distributing centers without paying any importing taxes for at least 15 years.

And extreme Nationalistic Pride, that is infamously known as Proud Pinoys. This actually stem from deep insecurities and low self esteem if one examines this........ Of course one has to adapt to the country he migrate to follow whatever laws, rules and regulations of that country. As they say, in Rome, do as the Romans do. On the topic of this video I see so many Filipinos like welcoming all these "Expats" leaving Thailand with glee but no discernment or discrimination whatsoever. Other countries want the young and talented for their growth, for the future. Who wants old retirees who are of the past, unless they are very rich, who may drain on their resources esp when they eventually become old and sick. But do we hear of this thinking from Filipinos here?? We just basically treat foreigners as distant relatives who came to visit us and we have to make their stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Filipinos should check this view of his because this only happens in the Philippines. When they visit other countries for work, it would be a rude awakening for them to expect being treated in the same manner.
    Other foreign cultures may treat them quite cruelly and sometimes like slaves. I just hope and pray our country progresses more so our countrymen could come back home and enjoy the quality of life that foreigners enjoy when they settle here. God knows how homesick they are not seeing their family for years and not enjoying the Philippines as much as foreigners do. As citizens they should enjoy the Philippines as much as foreigners.

    I am 20 years now in the philippines and at 50 to 60 i met over 250 women just walking up to girls and giggling ans saying single? I gave out business cards and a folded $2. or 100 pesos and said buy load and text me and we meet for a movie...i actually got 8 to 9 i approached to meet and about 6 out of ten came to either aopartment or short time hotel. then i lived with a girl for 4 years, had a baby and got friends of parents to sell land in my pinoy son's name after 8 years and build a house high up yet sheltered on an acre or 5000+ sqm. it is an incredable view and was raw land owner financed for 4 years, my lawyer and costs for $3.00 a sqm. 4 years later it cost 17000 usd for the lot and all facing ocean, then about $40,000 for a five bedroom 3 bath house that is terraced for three floors ...of course we needed a driveway so $400 usd for the right of way and then $800 got us 3 steel telephone poles and 300 m of line or three football fields to house and basic electric inside wiring ... water lines were about the same cost with tanks for when water not running, and higher than house to pressurize the house.Lots of work and fun and cut some trees and built a shack to live until enough done to move it...it is stellar... so women or a place to stay it is awesome and food healthy. try in thailand to just walk up to any girl in the mall or in manila and try to open conversation and have your cell number or card accepted or get hers...cebu and other major cities , women are still friendly and do smile back . I once had five maids that each was a gf and when i had no dates one would sleep with me and they were head turners and brought from leyte to cebu where i began dressing them up scandously and taking them dancing walking inn with five sexy girls. soo very much fun and 10 to 15 years later a couple still contact me every year and most married foreigners and left the country lol. Each received $80 a month and food and maids had a shared room and bunkbeds. no date got over 10 usd, maybe five in ten years got 20 dollars ...wow.slowly all were replaced and i found a real farmer's daughter who had met foreigners and also knew my past...eventually she remained and i slowly saw her worth. Yes she prays the rosary every night and is not wild but looks very wild. We recently visited thailand and many asked or thought she was thai. You will love the philippine women...and yes they speak some or fluent english depending on level of education and grades. I have only gone home with 2 hookers in my life...most were high school or college students who could use an "allowance"...but they do stay with their hubbies...one maid is now over ten years with hers, a usa citizen and as beautiful model body and face as you will find ...but short hehee.

    Looking forward to moving to the Philippines (probably the Visaya region) in July 2021. Have a beautiful girlfriend living in Bohol. I’ve been to the Philippines about seven times now visiting, (Mindano and Cebu regions). Many areas that truly are like paradise… People are definitely friendly… The women are indeed gorgeous :). Can’t wait to live there.

      @JPC1SDH
      The 2 most common ways are like this:
      Marry a filipina, preferably a filipino-chinese, then buy property through her. That's the most common chicom(chinese communist) method, americans and others also do this. But there's a difference, most westerners are alone and easily scammed by gold-diggers. Not so with the chicoms.
      Then there's the corporate way: Foreigners can own upto 40% of a philippine company. So rich chicoms sets up companies with filipino partners, again preferably filipino-chinese but any greedy, unprincipled filipino will do nicely. The pinoy partner, if poor, is set up to "own" the 60% of said company, though in reality the chicom owns everything lock, stock & barrel.
      So what's to prevent them from being scammed? Triads! Scam at your own risk, and your entire family too. I'm sure no sane filipino, preferably filipino-chinese, wants to suffer the death of a thousand cuts. And we all know how easy it is to buy the cooperation of Philippine officials to turn a blind eye.

    Thanks for ur time and enjoyed the vlog! I've become a new sub as of today! I'm interested in all of the particulars but especially the luxury living! Would it be possible to show some of the luxurious houses available to buy and or build! I've just built a custom home in Mrtyle Beach,SC and would like to live between both US and the Pines! Thank you for any help! As I'm Black does that 'friendliness' extend to African American...from what you've seen! Lol Are there darker skinned Flipina? I've heard there's an island called or close to Negras...not really sure! Thanks,again!

      Expats are westerners going to Third World or Developing Countries--; people coming from the latter are called Immigrants. Please disregard the arrogance of the Westerners who still think they have the wherewithals to look down on the Orientals or coolies. They are in rapid decline and so pretty soon this will be a thing in the past.
