hello! i just got allocated a room there. Could I check if the box rooms on the ground floor are much smaller compared to the other standard rooms on level 1/2?
Heyy! I think the rooms across the floors are the same sizes but in the flats there is 2 slightly small rooms, one super single and the rest are the same size.
I've just been offered this accom for september! a few people i've talked to have told me to try and switch as they think it could be quite antisocial if you don't get on with your flatmates, did u find this was the case for you? x
I know how you feel I was exactly the same. You will make friends no matter what accommodation you are in as long as you are prepared to put yourself out there, makinbg friends on your course and try joining societies youll find people with similar interests!! Also you are bound to meet people who live in Fallowfield campus as alot of Manchester accommodation is based there so you can meet people across both city and fallow campus by living at Whitworth. If you are stressed there is no harm reaching out to the uni about changing accoms but I know in my year they were quite reluctant to move people. Also just to mention private accom is also an option you might consider but from my friends experiences that can be quite limiting when meeting people especially with the flats sizes often being much smaller than uni accom. Personally I thought whitworth was quite social although quieter than other accoms party wise but the location is great to get to uni, the city centre and has lots of shops nearby xx I hope this was helpful and I’m sure you’ll have a great time at uni no matter what accom youre in!! If you have any more questions please ask away
I only ever saw a couple but only outside and thats kind of just expected with city living. It was no more of an issue at Whitworth than any other accommodations :)
Loved seeing how you've decorated your room!! this is such a helpful tour x
Thankyou, thats so sweet!! Xx
Super informative video! Ill be staying at whitworth for a semester, are there cleaning supplies available for use? Brooms, mops, etc
Thanks, Jess! My daughter will be starting at UoM and checking into Whitworth Park in a few weeks- your positive account is reassuring! 😀
So happy I could help!! 😁
Love your room decoration!! 🥰Is there a heater in the room??
Thankyou!! Theres a radiator :)
