"Il fait du vent", "il fait du soleil", "il fait du brouillard" n'est pas une formulation très correct ou du moins très usuel. On dira plutôt en français "il y a" au lieux de "il fait", "il y a du soleil", "il y a du brouillard", etc. Pour "il fait nuageux", on dis plus communément "le ciel est nuageux" ou quand le ciel est grisé par les nuages "il fais gris". Idem, on ne dira pas "il fait orageux" mais, "le temps est orageux". Ceci dit, très bonne leçon.

when you have „il fait” and „il fait du” it’s about for example sun or wind, and these are things in french that (i would say) don’t make any “activities” like snow does. when there’s snow you say “it snows” but when there’s sun you don’t say “it suns”, huh? “il” here is like an english “it” and “il fait” it’s like an english “it is” but actually means “it is doing” i hope i helped 😌 sorry for small mistakes, english isn’t my national language, have a nice day!

You can say "il ne fait pas mauvais" or "il ne fait pas moche" or maybe "le temps n'est pas trop mal". "Pas trop mal" is an expression that is usually used.
