Just the perfection of Flash's game is incredible. He starts by seeing that the probe came from the right side, so he scouted to the right. Then he saw the Nexus without the toss seeing his scv. Then he bunker rushes while still taking his own expansion. Then he blocks the reaver with minimal loss. Then does a timing push with 5 factories. And within all that, has nearly perfect control and still scouts for any hidden toss expansions. Just perfect. That's why he's 8-0.
@junonfraserst What u mean? he did 15 nexus which is a fairly common greedy protoss opening. If toss gets away with it, toss will have an econ edge. Vs flash everybody has to play cut corners and play greedy (except dear didn't get away with it.) No need to freak out, just because you've never seen one of the most common PvT openings doesn't mean other people haven't.
@junonfraserst because he knew flash was ahead after the bunker rush and would try to overpower him in the macro game. he made a calculated risk that the 3rd would kick in before flash's attack came.. it almost worked too.
@junonfraserst having his 12 nex taken down, it was pretty much the only way for him to come out with an advantage (or at least even) against flash... assuming flash played passively
@junonfraserst from dear's perspective, standard build has no chance--if flash didn't scout it fast enough, dear would start out with huge advantage obviously. It's just a gamble really, and I don't think he was wrong to do so.

Its his duty to make the game more entertaining and better in every way, than just beat opponents, especially knowing that we are in the end of the broodwar scene. This is how u show u put your heart in the things u do. I cant show brighter example of that kind of player than the Emperor - Slayers_Boxer. Never been his fan but i admire how much he's done about the Esports about Broodwar.
@Andrewsafb71 Doesn't matter, if he ends up 2base off 1raxCC vs a failed 12nex into delayed 1base reavers, a 7 SCV loss or so can easily be regained. Not that he lost all the SCVs...

Double nexus is a greedy build that can work if terran doesn't scout it early. Did you hear the commentators shouting when flash's scout scv heads toward south? They were shouting because if flash went all the way south and then to toss' base, it was too late to do a bunker rush.

If my memory is correct Dear's proleague record was perfect this season(3 straight wins against terran, FBH, Sea, Light) before losing to Flash. Do you really think you know more bw than him?
@junonfraserst name a professional match in which terran bunker rushed after building a defensive bunker. You can't. (Although Ruby did a late crazy scv all in bunker rush once when he was in Airforce Ace, he is the probably the only one who did in recent bw scene because it has low probability of success and very risky)
@junonfraserst With normal way, there is rare chance to win against Flash, that's why everyone tries to do something radical to take advantages. And, Flash knows that everyone thinks that when they play against Flash. So, Flash uses the mind of thinking.

I empathise with your feelings of boredom, however, I think it is just because other players have not been able to meet the same standard as Flash and thus all we get to see are seemingly "boring" games where Flash rolls over people. Of course, Flash is only perfect in a frame of imperfection, and I anxiously await someone to step up to the plate and offer us a nail biting and epic game.
@ppshchik lol, dude BW is well balanced not 100% but I'm sure it's 98% balanced. Jangbi just recently won an OSL vs the two best Terrans in the World Flash and Fantasy. It's just that Flash knows the game so well with his timings, reads, micro etc. You play to win right? Pro players will do anything to win in any game. Terran isn't OP, it's just Flash is IMBA.

Protoss is such an underpowered race. I love how BW fanboys kept saying how fucking balanced BW is yet a Protoss has yet to win a golden mouse or be crowned Bonjwa. Glad I switched to SC2. SC2 Terran is also fucking OP but not as OP as 70 damage siege tanks that rewards turtling whores like Flash.

If double nexus doesn't get scouted early, 1-barrack-expo terran is forced to build bunker early in his base to prevent any dragoon harassment. If he builds defensive bunkers, it is already too late for terran to do any bunker rush (double nexus holds quite well against two fac rush too in fact)

Korean progamers have made Starcraft into a SCIENCE. They calculate everything down to near perfection, and it's tough to see creative plays. But you still see nukes, BM cc, pylon drawings, etc.

Just let you know, from his Interview after game, he said toss should not try double nexus unless they are located diagonally.
