Think you had made your mind up before this on course test . Lol . I just got the feeling u loved the 770 from the get go . Enjoy your new irons and keep up the great content 👍
Good comparison. Similar conclusion for me. Ideal 7 iron loft for me is 32 degrees. It's a small difference but 30 degree 7 irons roll out more than I would like.
Good luck and have fun with your new clubs. I've never hit either one and likely never will, but I think I'd like the TM better. I prefer that look at address, the more compact design and thinner topline. Also, more stopping power. The Ai200 seemed like you were playing a 2 piece ball with the runout it had. Fairmont looks beautiful.
Great review however, I'm surprised your putting a full set in 🤔 when you look at the best players in the world so many of them play combo sets now isn't that something you'd considered doing when making the decision?
Pretty sure the Callaway APEX Ai200 has stronger lofts (2-3 degrees), which would explain the difference in distance/spin/rollout vs TM P770. A better comparison might be the Ai200 vs the P790.
Hi Brian, thanks for watching. As mentioned in the video, this wasn't about finding two irons which were exactly the same to compare, but looking at two slightly different options to see which one Georgina preferred - one which was more forgiving with stronger lofts, and one which was sleeker and a little more workable. In the end, Georgina picked the latter!
I don’t know that the 770s are really a “low handicap” iron necessarily. During my fitting, I fit into a combo set of the 770s and the P7CBs (8-PW) and I’m an 11.1 hc. However, I do agree that the numbers she shows are more in line with the P790s. But to be fair, I don’t know that Callaway makes an iron that fits into the same category as the 770s from a hollow body perspective. The 300s are a CB I think, so it would be more comparable to a P7CB. Please correct me if I’m wrong here. During my choice, it came down to TM and Titleist and I didn’t dive too deep into the different options that Callaway offered after the first round of hits.
Never mind, I looked up the Callaway irons and see what you’re saying about the Pro series. Yeah, it looks like the Pro series might be a better match here.
p770 should have been compared to apex pro cb ai200 to p790 anyway i went for ai200 cause i wanted more distance and can't stand those speed pocket designs which p770 and p790 has.
It’s funny how minor design difference make all the difference to an individual golfer. I excluded the Apex line early in the decision making process because I didn’t like the black Apex badge on the back of the irons 😂 Regardless, any of the irons will work well when you make a good swing.
Hi Steve, as the video mentions this wasn't intended to be a direct comparison - it's a test of which iron would work best in Georgina's bag. In the end she chose the P770 which didn't go as far, but was more compact and better feeling. Thanks for watching!

Hi Guy's good comparison here. I'm in the same boat choosing between "Modern Players" and "Players distance" irons. For the top line I'd also go P770.
Never mind the irons. How does she focus with that ponytail flopping around?

Very nice review. If I had the choice I would go for P 770. 😊😊😊
I have the original 2017 p770 irons and they're the softest feeling irons ever.
Great choice look fabulous! Let’s hope you have some great rounds perhaps like Nelly Korda!

The P770, Apex Pro, I230 all have 33* 7 iron lofts so not sure how these two ended up in the mix

apex ai200 7 :30°
@@GolfalotTV Got it, thank you!
I think you should compare to the Apex Pro instead of the 200AI, Here you compare a mid HCP from Callaway to a low HCP players iron from TM…

Isn’t the ai200 more of a P790?
That’s all right 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

In one of your tests you compared Apex Pro to P790……a bit meaningless 🤷♂️

Not comparable lofts
