- UNBOXING and Product REVIEW of the compact portable Everdure CUBE by HESTON BLUMENTHAL.
This great and stylish grill was tested with Porterhouse Steak Surf 'n' Turf on hardwood lump charcoal. A great travel bbq solution with minimal fuss while looking ultra stylish. This is Grill Culture, getting started with the Cube Portable Charcoal Barbeque. #HestonBlumenthal #CUBEbbq #GrillCulture

That is neat, it's all the grill I need. Thanks for sharing. By the way your food looks amazing 😋
Thank you so much. 😍
I know this is an old video but I really enjoyed it. Throughout the video.... something about you or your environment seemed oddly/soothingly familiar.
Then I saw you taking the steaks out of the Woollies packet and figured it out. You're in Australia (like me)! No wonder your surroundings looked so familiar. 😊👍
I'm a massive food-nerd, and Heston is one of the few people in history I idolise. I already wanted one of these.... but your video has helped seal the deal. I'm getting one!
Simple, uncomplicated designs are often the best!
Thanks for the video brother. 😊👍
Ooooooh this cube is great! Can’t wait to use it at the next picnic!!
Thank you for your comment! The CUBE is so convenient and so stylish!
Just bought one! Can’t wait to use it 😋
It's wonderful.
😲😲 that is awesome!!
Thank you Cody
Good video man! I enjoyed a good amount of the visuals and music, I just would've liked a product rating at the end. Good overview though
Great review! Did you by chance see how hot the grill got? Highest temp? Thanks so much.
You cooked and didn't show how well it performed? Or did I miss something?
I was thinking the same thing
Scott fillet and prawns...legend!
The Wife loved it!
I thought I was about to get a SteveWillDoIt video with that intro music lol thanks for the review.
Thank you Keith, what a lovely compliment.
Great review! Definitely convinced me to get one for my partner
Thank you Benjie :)
How was it in cleaning and removing the bottom piece to eliminate the charcoals?
To give you the idea, it was just simple straightforward. There's no place for charcoal residue to get stuck behind. It's all easy access, so cleaning is a breeze once the grill has cooled down.
was wondering, the place they put charcoal is made of what? plastic? or iron?
The charcoal tray is enamel coated steel. Only the top tray/lid is plastic.
I wish the grates would stack to allow more food to cook.
Does the grill have an automated way to light charcoal and do you need to add fluid?
No Sorry DK. Nothing on it is automated. It's all done the good old fashioned way.
@@GrillCulture So you used lighter fluid or a tube with paper and charcoal? The demo said its ready in 10 minutes. But traditionally I wait 30 when using lighter fluid.
@@DK-df2hi I did not use lighter fluid because I was using hardwood lump charcoal with firestarters. Looking back on it... using charcoal briquettes and lighter fluid would have definitely started it faster.
Heston uses firestarters on his demo video..great bbq!
How did you start the charcoal?
Firestarter cubes, but that actually didn't go so well. 😔
You convinced me 🤣
Thank you Daniel. I appreciate you.
@@GrillCulture just got mine today, however, the interior is black when I thought it was orange 😭…
Trying it out tomorrow lol ..
Just found out about this grill thought it seemed great for a family of 3. But looks like the grates don't get hot. The food had zero grill marks, how dies one cross hatch? There was just lines where it touched the grill seems weird that the grates didn't get hot.
It's so expensive! It's literally a metal box with a grill :p Thanks for sharing though!
Can buy it used from eBay for $85 usd
Food is way too close to charcoal on this grill. Definitely burns easy and not suitable for long grilling 🙁
That’s probably true DjAlexFin 👍🏽
So where was the review? This was more like an advert.
How is this a review? You don't review it!
Coals were not even hot, the grate was cold, not even a sizzle when the steaks went on and they went on dry and unseasoned 😂
For the most part, you're probably right. Lesson learned way back on the day of filming. ✌️
And prawns and asparagus take way less time to cook than a steak…but this was a video review, not a cooking show I suppose!
Thank you John
looks kind of small
Thanks for watching. It is definately small Andrew. Dimensions are in here everdurebyheston.com/product/cube-bbq/
Where's the review? 😂
It's in there somewhere 😆
@@GrillCulture it really wasn't...😂
Dont pick it apart. theres no reward for that. Be chill.
@@GrillCulture not picking it apart, just looking for something to inform my decision making. That's what a review is for, no? It's not a review! That involves sharing thoughts and feelings on the product. 😉 I'm perfectly chill, just giving you feedback.
So why pay £ 170 for this when you can buy traditional turkish ones for £20. Doesn't make sense . Lol
That's true Lorenzo
Called preference. If price is an issue you can go cheap, ya get what you pay for in most cases.
Stopped as you give BBQ’ing a bad name dude. Coals are still black, that’s mistake 1. Prawns on at the same time as steak, that’s mistake 2. Heston would take this back and slap you.
You’re right. It didn’t all go to plan while filming that time. Perfect at other times. Anyway… Thanks for watching. I do appreciate it. 👍🏾
