Torn Paper Photo Effect - Photoshop Tutorial

In this Photoshop Tutorial, it's actually a remake of a video I did before without using voice, so in this video we will see how to create the popular Torn Paper Photo Effect, which is a quick and simple effect to create. So all we gotta do is apply some layers masks and use a good quality torn paper image that I will provide to download as a PNG format for you guys. You can create this with two different photos they can be the same photos with if you want, or you can use a portrait and another one with flower or another thing like fireworks as I did in the video, and then we will put one in black and white plus a little bit of grain on it, and one we will keep with the origin color to make the effect more nicer. I have a problem at 7:40 when I hit my magic wand the selected area is not include the torn paper and also when I press delete non of the image is delete. Can you help me with this? Thanks

Make sure you are selecting the right torn paper layer, and then for you to be able to delete from the layer mask switch between the default foreground and background colors {press D to make your colors to default and X to switch between them}
