Dear Sci-Inspi, May I have a question. Why the B. subtillis both tubes are green (-) in OF-test (0:53). I thought B. subtilis is saccharolytic and aerobic. At least the opened tube should trun yellow(+). btw, appreciate the video, it's amazing and educational, the best class I ever had.
Sci- Inspi well I meant that the closed tube which had a lighter green color at first turned darker. But I guess it’s probably due to increasing turbidity.

on OF, why is there a color change in the closed tube for P. Aeruginosa?
There is no color change in the closed tube, only the open tube. The tube on the right is covered in mineral oil.

Oh, I see what you mean. Yes, I think the darkening must be due to growth.
Or it could be the green pigment they produce as well.
Oh the Pyocyanin? well, that makes sense now, thanks!
I'll miss those macro-method tests!! Nowadays they use API system, but even that will be soon replaced by the MS... :(
Can you share what music was used in this?
