Natural flood defences inspired by beavers

There are fourteen flood alerts in place across the region this evening, ahead of Storm Babet. Flood defences are more important than ever these days. Researchers from the University of Worcester are working with councils in the region to use a mathematical model to save more vulnerable towns and villages from flooding. The plan uses leaky wooden dams, inspired by the work of beavers.
