Hi Mandy! It definitely can help if you have ulcerative lichen planus (an ulcer associated with LP) by calming down the nerve fibers and stimulating healing around those spots, similiar to a canker sore. Although LP is mainly immune related, bacteria can complicate things and that's where a good hygiene appointment with laser treatment is very helpful to prevent pain and infections which can worsen symptoms.
