This one is dedicated to my grandpa who passed away a few months ago. Being a professional violist, he would teach me how to play violin over the summers when I was younger. Looking back, he was a huge part of my life and I regret never expressing my appreciation for him. I can say that he was one of the most kind hearted people I know and he will be severely missed.
His parting gift to me was his viola which he had taken with him through his time with his orchestra in Amsterdam. It's the same viola you see me playing in this video. Although my grandpa has passed, I'm happy that I'm able to carry his excitement for music with me through my work. I hope to make him proud. I miss him.

I also lost my only grandfather a few months ago, because of the covid, and worst of all is that I never got the chance to say goodbye, because he died so fast and the doctors wouldn't let us in, and he died all alone, and I never got the opportunity to thank him for all his advices, and his stories. Your grandfather did a great work, and I know he's proud of you. That song expresses all the pain I feel for his loss, especially the choir. For the people that still have their grandparents please love and care for them, and don't make the mistake I made... spend time with them, while you still have them, because believe me... you only miss them when they're gone...

I`m sorry for your loss! You played this song very beautiful. The song makes me think of my grandparents, mother and good friends who passed away in the last years and it holds so much truth. Despite of losing them I am so thankful I had them in my life and the memory of them still brings so much to my life. I recently made a piano cover for "ghost" because this song means a lot to me. Usually, I don’t listen much to instrumental music, and the songs I enjoy tend not to be very calm, so listening to this was a bit refreshing, I must say. Very nice, and holds a traits I admire in covers, deviation from the original. A cover that sounds like the original with a different voice and slightly different instruments doesn’t really give me a reason to want to listen to it, but this does. Plus, I already absolutely love the original. And I don’t know how much effort it takes to learn to play the violin like this, so I won’t comment on that, but I feel compelled to say it was very beautiful indeed. I like how violins sound.
