I love how the twin "You'll suffer for your crimes" have such different meanings. Ashas is a threat, a statment she will make him suffer. Magnificos is because he has BEEN her in the past. He has seen what will happen, what she will do, and he knows how she will pay for her own actions in the future, that she will never be free of it if she doesnt stop herself.

Disney kind of failed to make him classical evil because he has understandable motivation and gives valid reasons as to why not EVERY wish should be granted. Also if he was pure evil he would have destroyed all the wishes he didn't grant before being corrupted by the book of evil magic. But no, he kept them all safe inside his own castle even though in a pragmatic sense it would be more beneficial to just destroy them. Honestly they made Asha and the people of the kingdom seem more entitled because they all expect to have their wishes granted even though they could have worked for it or just not given up their wish. Seriously Magnifico literally tells us about how he told the people what would happen, the conditions of him granting a wish, told the entire Kingdom he only grants 1 wish a month, and letting them live in his paradise with no taxes or poor people and (pardon the pun) this is the thanks he gets? He wanted a paradise that wouldn't be threatened the same way his family's past kingdom was which led to it being destroyed. Paranoid? Maybe. Understandable? Yes.
i dont really have a favorite character in wish because of the fact that king magnifico was too nice to be a villain, and asha was too selfish to be a main character. you can see that when magnifico blasts people, he doesn't affect people in any way of damage like a real villain should. and asha, if she wasn't selfish, would help with making the cake for her granddad's 100th birthday, and not leave the family behind. and on top, she only wanted the assistant's job so she could ask king magnifico to grant her granddad's wish. where they actually have wish ceremonies for people, so again, you would just have to wait. and on top of that, king magnifico listens to his wife even though he became a villain and then the wife leaves magnifico to be on asha's side, which is confusing. because you want to believe a child over your man? and then at the end of the movie, everyone gets their wish which is pointless considering if you have wish ceremonies, then you would motivate people to actually achieve their desires and what they want. Korean Comic's video helped me change what I saw in Wish, and I kinda get it now, but Disney needs to upgrade. Cause they went from really good movies like Frozen or Cinderella, to Wish. THIS IS MY OPINION. i'm not trying to be mean, i just want to share my opinion with you all. :D

Magnifico would have been better if he was just a king. Who was literally just trying to protect his people. It didn't make sense with his character. His wife couldve been a better villain telling her husband what to do to 'protect their kingdom. Like she made the rule on wishes.
