    Ingredients
    • Chana Dal - ¼ cup
    • White Urad Dal - 1 cup
    • Sesame seeds - ¼ cup
    • Desiccated coconut - ¼ cup
    • Whole Dry Red chilies - 10 to 12
    • Fresh curry leaves - 10 to 15
    • Oil - 2 tbsp
    • Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
    • Asafoetida - ¼ tsp
    • Salt to taste
    Recipe:
    1. Dry roast sesame seeds on low flame till it start to pop. Transfer it in a bowl.
    2. Add 1 tbsp oil in same pan and add white urad dal. Roast on low flame for 4-5 minutes till it changes color to golden brown.
    3. Similarly roast chana dal for 6-7 minutes.
    4. Roast curry leaves and dry chilies till they get crisp. In same pan dry roast desiccated coconut till it changes color.
    5. Transfer them into a bowl and let them cool down completely.
    6. Add spices and salt and grind to make a coarse powder.
    7. Our Podi masala / Gun Powder is ready.
    8. Serve with ghee or oil over hot dosa, idli or uttapam.
