This is the first time I've come across this beautiful work. I usually recognise the orchestral works as being Bruckner's straight away, but I wouldn't have known this was his. It is much more conventional, classical, in its themes and harmonies. Lovely.
Yes, it's really almost-unknown. His Quintet is slighty more performed (there's already a score video of the slow movement, I probably should do the entire work).
as far as I know, he even has written two more pieces for String Quartet: Scherzo für Streichquartett g-Moll Streichquartett c-Moll By the way, this is so beautiful music, drive me almost to tears
@@SPscorevideos At the first measure of the next page after my marker the 2nd violin plays a D and corrects itself quickly by going to what is written, namely a C.

I didn't know Bruckner wrote a string quartet. Thank you for this revelation :)

What a charming quartet! Well done Herr Bruckner!!!
je ne connaissais pas ce quatuor et je le trouve très beau ...
Wow! What a moving masterpiece!!!!
Ottima esecuzione
seeking an aspiration with uncertainty, young vitality shaded with despair.
Beautiful!
Almost no dynamics are written on the score... Fascinating!
I wonder if that's how Bruckner wrote it? His orchestral music is usually full of dynamics, text markings, and tempo markings.
Different editions differ. 😊

It is an interesting mix of immediate Brucknerian features - the opening theme for example - and student "immaturity".

19:51 that wrong note gave the chord a beautiful minor 7th sonority
Wait, what wrong note?🤔

@ Honestly, I had to listen that measure 10 times at half speed to hear that, but now I get it. :D
I definitely don’t hear a D at that spot. There’s very certainly a C heard on the downbeat of that bar…
This quartet could be written by Beethoven or Schubert as well. Or a late work by Haydn.
It does not really sound like typical Bruckner.
Yes, or better said: It is just bad lol
Deseando escuchar mediante enlace su último cuarteto. Será un auténtico placer para mí. Saludos.@@LearnCompositionOnline
The scherzo sounds extremely reminiscent of Haydn

It's not Bruckner without trombones.
It's 'Diet Bruckner.'
Who is playing ?
As in the link in descritpion: L'Archibudelli (Vera Beths, Lisa Rautenberg, Jürgen Kussmaul, Anner Bylsma).
