It's funny because Gacha games teach you to not waste resources on low-tier characters, but Arknights encourages and rewards it. For one thing the costs are substantially less which means you'll be able to use them sooner and in quite a lot of content, and for the other there are still modes later in the game where you will have to use some 3* operators no matter how built your account is.
True, i had a friend who deleted the games because he strugles with it, since he only upgrade high rarity unit and ignore low rarity one even though i encourages him to use them, but yeah in the end he got dp issue and stuck on a certain level and ragequit the game

Bring Gravel for Licorice wizard. Gravel is what you call a Fast-Redeploy archetype, they have very low redeployment time. You basically just drop them, then pull them out. In case of the wizard, they only cast their skill once so you use Gravel just to bait them.
I wrote this to him, but the bro can't read the lmao, he also didn't raise melantha to level 55, he still hasn't raised the level of doctors to the maximum, oh my God, it hurts me to see this
As far as I remember, these wizards can use their ability more than once, they just have a very long cooldown (or was it the red version of this wizard?).
Mountain's skill decreases his range when active. Last episode I actually saw you go into then leave the event missions tab without collecting. You have a welfare 5 star waiting there and more event currency. You could also spend your off-recording sanity on the event stages you have 3 starred. Event currency is always same sanity efficiency, mainly the potential drops getting better later. Annihilation doesn't need you to finish the map necessarily. Just go as far as you can then use skips. You will still get orundum. This is a major part of the pull income you are missing by ignoring it entirely. Also, if you haven't, go to Lungmen for it to play the original permanent maps from release rather than the current limited time maps.
I dont think his roster can deal with Frostnova by this point. His DPS is way to low to deal enough damage to her quickly before she spammed her black ice

Ah 4-9 that brings back nightmares... Clay you've really been getting better each episode. It's awesome to see! One thing I do want to mention though is please do the weekly annihilations since they are the main source of free pulls and even give some exp. You don't need to worry about completely clearing them 400/400 to get weekly orundum and the weekly missions allow you to sweep through the auto so try them out and get as far as you can especially the Lungmen Outskirts one that raises the weekly cap by a lot. Once you get your operator levels up a bit more come back and try for the 400/400. Keep it up!
Two tips from looking at what you have available and what you're most struggling with right now. 1) Build Gavial. Replace Hibiscus. You need more healing, and Hibiscus isn't going to cut it any longer. She is still just an intern after all. 2) Build Gravel at least to E1 and use her. Fast Redeploys are ultra cheap and can be put back onto the field very quickly when they are defeated or pulled back. They can be used to stall enemies and also to bait attacks (like those licorice whips). You drop Gravel next to licorice-man, he whips her, you immediately pull her back and now he just walks forward into range and gets slaughtered. There will be fights where you 100% will need to have a unit like Gravel, because there are boss attacks that can one-shot operators, or will do massive AoEs around a target, and you want it to be on someone like her and not on your key operators.
The mean reason why Clay is struggling with every single stages that he ever encountered at this point is not because he doesn't have E2 characters, nor his units are under level. It is because he doesn't have ANY good operators other than Mountain at all. When people told him that 3 star operators are good, what they are trying to say is "don't blindly throw all your resources into those 6 stars during the early stage of the game", not "3 stars are actually stronger than those higher star units and they are not replaceable at all". 3 star units are meant to be REPLACED one after another after the player acquired better units as you progress the game, not just stick with them and that one single 6 stars you got in the beginner banner forever. Tips Use fast-redeploy and/or stunner units to deal with the licorice wizards. Fast-redeploy can bait them to use their bind skills early. Stunners can cancel the bind skill and release any affected unit. Recommended unit: Projekt Red with skill2. She is both a stunner and fast-redeploy.

Ngl seeing you struggle reminds me of my old me struggling playing the game for the first time looking up guides and seeing you struggle with those levels that i manage to beat easily made me realise all of those stuggle that i endured worth it
Oh great Doctor Papa ClayYo, My humble suggestion to aid you in your escapades is to build the 4 star medic Perfumer if you don't want to build any more medics. Her talent 1 allows her to slowly heal all operators including those who aren't within range and she can heal multiple units within range normally. It might help a bit when it comes to those units who are isolated.
A bit of advice. Arknights has a lot of free characters you can claim, some of them are even six stars. There are some in the shop, but every event also brings with it a new free character. I suggest looking at the 'intermezzi,' 'side story' and 'archive' menus to play past events and claim some of those characters. You don't even need to finish the events to get the characters. Personally, I suggest getting the free characters from the events 'Undertides' and 'Stultifera Navis,' both of them are six stars, with the former being the best character in her class as well as one of the best in the game. The latter is the best healer most players can get in this game, since the actual best healer is limited.
- Eyjafalla is pronounced like ey-ya-fjat-la (fjat like the fiat car), but most people just call her Eyja. - Mountain's Skill 2 trades range and defense for health regen, extra block, and extra damage, he basically becomes a pseudo-defender. - Most Annihilation missions require a decently strong team to 100%, but Chernobog can be completed easily with your current team. - You can try recruiting Odda from the sugar cube exchange if you need another decent ground fighter, otherwise you can try recruiting Gladiia in the Under Tides mission in the Intermezzi as a free 6* unit (the best free 6* currently). - Dagda is a girl, there's nothing wrong with her, she's just a Scottish thug that helps out Rhodes Island. She's a free unit you can get in chapter 11, however she's specifically built for chapter 11 missions and is very mediocre outside of it, and her abilities pale in comparison to Mountain. - Enemy data will not reveal itself until you've played the level at least once and have encountered that enemy in that stage. - Ling's dragons are considered enmity units, meaning they cannot be healed directly and can only be healed by passive health regen effects (e.g. Bards, healing tiles).
Use Gravel or Yato to bait the licorice from the wizards. They're meant to be sacrificial units since they can be deployed again way faster than other units. You don't even have to build them if you're only using them to bait one attack.
There sre not many operator that do elemental damage, ritualist supporter (ex: virtuosa), primal caster (ex: diamante), and some module (basically "extra" for max level unit) are the only source of elemental damage, but the enemy can also do elemental damage, and when they did it's hella annoying
If you really get stuck on a stage try borrowing texas alter she's a fast redeploy and delete enemies her play style is basically deploy, kill enemy , remove from field then repeat
1. Try to beat a couple times, until 1800 point red stones accumulated, the red stage, top right. No need to complete it, your target is to get 1800 red stones every week. That's for pulling characters. 2. On BB 6 or something, the event stage where you stuck, try to use someone's Mudrock to block. might help. have'nt really tried thought. Or can use Texas Alter, Texas with specialist class, and drop her before the lancer hit you. she will stun them.
Don't pay attention to elemental resistance, to this date it still isn't relevant. Also, Mountain cannot tank the big guys, while he gets hp regen he loses defense on his skill 2
Cardigan could heal herself for a really big chunk of hp, so using her on the left to keep the dogs at bay and heal herself so that she wont die is probably a good idea. Also beefy bois on the right so use arts and weak dogs on the left so use fast physical dps
FYI, i think the only source of Elemental Damage this far is Anthuria. No operators dealing elemental damage besides of her. ....enemies, on the other hand, are on a different story
this is false! you're forgetting valarqvin, warmy, diamante, ebenholz and ifrit on delta module, the upcoming burn ritualist and phonor on cn server... that's it, i think
I see that you have cleared 4-7, awarding you the last keel required to fully upgrade your Control Center. How built is your base (especially the left side)? Your base is your main source of LMD and battle records, don't neglect it. Building 2 trading posts, 4 factories, 3 power plants (243 setup) allows you to max out all rooms, but if you play twice a day and don't mind tending the base a bit more, you can build a 5th factory instead of a 3rd power plant (252 setup) for a bit more production (and it's cheaper to build, too). In any case, raise both trading posts to lvl 3 (unless you have Proviso), and get at least one lvl 3 factory so you can produce Tactical Battle Records in any factory. Avoid raising the HR office. Some characters you can raise to E1 for base: Purestream, Gravel, Spot, Vermeil (pair her with Noir Corne and Cuora in a factory), Shirayuki, Frostleaf, Perfumer, Steward, Fang.
If ya need a bait to tank damage from either ranged attacks lile from those Magicans that stun your op jse fast redeploys such as Gravel, Phantom, Texas Alter or even Yato Alter from either support (Or if ya got Gravel use her instead she is the best tank for Fast Redeploys amd she can take agro while others kill the enemy)
There's some good ways to counter the lancers if you need ideas: Stuns or Binds reset their move speed/damage buff (Ethan for example) Fast Redeploy (gravel specifically, doesn't need to have any investment E0 lvl 1 SL 1 is fine) Summons to a limited extent, similar idea to gravel but you sacrifice deepcolor's squid tentacles to the lancers to reset their buffs You kind of stumbled on the summon concept vs the licorice casters with Ling, basically the same idea can be used against lancers, but you want it closer to where your operators are to prevent them from speeding up again. Ideally 1 tile in front of your next blocker.
Hey Clay ^^ You should E2 Mountain or Amiya (later in the game you will be forced to have her E2 and you can swap her class and soon she will also have a third class) This way you can use E2 supports, if you add me i have put in my support slot Ling (she can solo stage) and Degenbrecher. Also, check Integrated Strategies mode wich are sanity free!! It's a rouguelikemode and even if you don't have many characters atm you can get some free only for your current run and ofc you can use a support units.
My suggestion would be to use the guides to help you get through the resource levels and then spend some of your sanity to auto battle and get those resources so you can level up some of your characters.
you can't heal Ling's dragons regardless of which skill she is on (except for passive healing like Bard supporters and perfumer talent) also Ling is strongest on her 3rd skill, you're currently using her 1st skill (will be unlocked in support once you e2 a character)
You don't have any characters that deal elemental damage, it's a very new mechanic. The biggest elemental damage chara is the upcoming character "Nymph" btw the licorice wizards can only cast licorice once, so you're meant to bait them with a cheap throwaway unit like Gravel, Waai fu or Project Red
Reading skill, talent and enemy description is very important in this game. Also DEF works like subtraction, so 200ATK against 100DEF will only deal 100 damage, this only applies to physical damage RES works with percentage so enemy with 50 RES will take 50% less damage, this only applies to arts damage True damage and elemental damage bypass not only DEF and RES but also bypass Dodge and %Dmg reduction Edit: Only elemental bypass dodge and %dmg reduction, True doesnt
the 3* rarity unit, please give them a bit more exp, they cap at e1Lv55 so it's cheap investment for good amount of returns in long terms. Also at max level, they will upgrade their base skill.
For me it took up until episode 5 but that was with most of the materials bought. It really depends because newer operators seem to use items from newer chapters and also the operator i 2'ed was shu

Nothing wrong with admitting defeat! You did what you could, this is fine. Can still farm stages for sugar lumps, to buy resources.
This where you need learn about enemy mechanic and most importantly read
You should E2 at least one of your own operators. In doing so, your support operators would be wouldn't be capped at E1.
Promote any of your desired 4 star to elite II and feel the power of Elite II 6 stars from support units.
Use Gravel or Yato to bait the licorice from the wizards. They're meant to be sacrificial units since they can be deployed again way faster than other units. You don't even have to build them if you're only using them to bait one attack.
Blue Dragons can combine to become bigger stronger Dragon that can attack all blocked enemies at the same time for a 2 block radius.
There sre not many operator that do elemental damage, ritualist supporter (ex: virtuosa), primal caster (ex: diamante), and some module (basically "extra" for max level unit) are the only source of elemental damage, but the enemy can also do elemental damage, and when they did it's hella annoying
Cant wait to see his reaction when he makes Lins dragons into bugger dragons 😆
If you really get stuck on a stage try borrowing texas alter she's a fast redeploy and delete enemies her play style is basically deploy, kill enemy , remove from field then repeat
Watching this reminds me
how those sarkaz caster and bowman used to be a terror back in the days.
When will papa know that AoE is *Attac on Everyone*
Seeing him struggle while being under level and using 3 stars but him thinking its a "skill issue" is painful.
Please try the earlier annihilation missions such as lungmen. They are F2P essential stages as they give you the currency pulls
Seek 4* Defender Cuora.
She has her own healing and superb DEF with her skill, perfect for new account as it means she demand less healing.
6:23 summons can't be healed with normal healing so it would've been pointless anyway
Holy first moment
Aside from the 3 members :)
More peak arknights content btw
I see his Ling addiction has immediately taken on quickly
Don't pay attention to elemental resistance, to this date it still isn't relevant.
Also, Mountain cannot tank the big guys, while he gets hp regen he loses defense on his skill 2
Use your recruit man xD
Also the last stage is supposed to be paired with multiheal medic. I hope you aint losing sanity yet
breaking news man develop brain damage after playing arknights
@@sophiaz2982 oh, i thought only ritualist that deal elemental damage. thought ifrit's burn are regular arts damage. nice info!
once u get 1st e2 progress becomes a lot smoother
0:50 a lot eyja name XD you gain my sub
Do the annialation missions. You farm those stages for the pull currency.
Elemental Damage isn't the same as arts. You want to look at resistance, unless you are using a Ritualist like Virtuosa, or Valarqvin.
You should be strong enough to do annihilation 1 chernobog
This game makes me mad sometimes, the fact that if even one enemy pass we lose the 3 star is madness
There's some good ways to counter the lancers if you need ideas:
Stuns or Binds reset their move speed/damage buff (Ethan for example)
Fast Redeploy (gravel specifically, doesn't need to have any investment E0 lvl 1 SL 1 is fine)
Summons to a limited extent, similar idea to gravel but you sacrifice deepcolor's squid tentacles to the lancers to reset their buffs
You kind of stumbled on the summon concept vs the licorice casters with Ling, basically the same idea can be used against lancers, but you want it closer to where your operators are to prevent them from speeding up again. Ideally 1 tile in front of your next blocker.
Elemental RES reduces elemental damage (you have no sources of elemental damage yet). RES reduces ARTs damage (your casters, some supporters, etc).
Hey Clay ^^
You should E2 Mountain or Amiya (later in the game you will be forced to have her E2 and you can swap her class and soon she will also have a third class)
This way you can use E2 supports, if you add me i have put in my support slot Ling (she can solo stage) and Degenbrecher.
Also, check Integrated Strategies mode wich are sanity free!!
It's a rouguelikemode and even if you don't have many characters atm you can get some free only for your current run and ofc you can use a support units.
easy solution use mudrock lol
My suggestion would be to use the guides to help you get through the resource levels and then spend some of your sanity to auto battle and get those resources so you can level up some of your characters.
you can't heal Ling's dragons regardless of which skill she is on (except for passive healing like Bard supporters and perfumer talent)
also Ling is strongest on her 3rd skill, you're currently using her 1st skill (will be unlocked in support once you e2 a character)
U should get the free 5★ Odda from Babel event. He is a decent Physical DPS guard if u need.
If you like to use Ling more often i think you wanna try combining her summons by dragging the 2nd summon into the previous one
You don't have any characters that deal elemental damage, it's a very new mechanic.
The biggest elemental damage chara is the upcoming character "Nymph"
btw the licorice wizards can only cast licorice once, so you're meant to bait them with a cheap throwaway unit like Gravel, Waai fu or Project Red
Reading skill, talent and enemy description is very important in this game.
Also DEF works like subtraction, so 200ATK against 100DEF will only deal 100 damage, this only applies to physical damage
RES works with percentage so enemy with 50 RES will take 50% less damage, this only applies to arts damage
True damage and elemental damage bypass not only DEF and RES but also bypass Dodge and %Dmg reduction
Edit: Only elemental bypass dodge and %dmg reduction, True doesnt
the 3* rarity unit,
please give them a bit more exp,
they cap at e1Lv55 so it's cheap investment for good amount of returns in long terms.
Also at max level, they will upgrade their base skill.
am i hear a change of tone a little bit? gonna enjoying this 😏🍿
E2 Amiya when?
When will he find out about mountain losing range while on skill and the fact that Ling isn't a good ranged operator (at least not on skill 1 and 3)
its time to you learn how to helidrop
i wonder how many episodes does it take to get a one character to E2?
A lot of episodes unfortunately. 😮💨😫
For me it took up until episode 5 but that was with most of the materials bought. It really depends because newer operators seem to use items from newer chapters and also the operator i 2'ed was shu
