Love a good wheat field! That’s a pretty impressive structure the daymark I hadn’t heard of those previously as a way of ships navigating. Liked the music and drone footage of it. Really interesting about the coast watch as well. I’ve definitely learnt a few new things from this video. Lovely coastal views and nesting birds. Really enjoyable watch, well done as it looked tough towards the end!

The Monument is a piece of interesting structure. The view and navigation deck was very interesting Watto. A great tour. C/Mon Kim you can do the incline. Great to see those wild ponies. Wonderful views. Great little adventure. thank you for taking us along Watto and Kim 😘🙏🏽👍🏽❤️
Some navigation aid, looks very impressive and good to see it still standing after all those years. Real nice that those people spend their spare time volunteering and give you so much information. Loved the coastal path and walking poles are a must to protect a dodgy knee and that looked some walk mind, especially with all those steps. GR8 effort from you both! Cheers Alan

That looked like a pretty tough hike! I agree with you about the stairs - there's nothing worse than being forced to step up in increments. I would much rather have a nice slope anyday. 😊

That is so awesome from the drone. Love seeing those types of old buildings from the sky. Fun to see the coast watch and hear about all they are able to do. You definitely give us something better to watch than the tele...A rough path but a fun one to see. Always helps to have a pole to pull....lol.

An aid to navigation without the light on top, fascinating! A coastal watch tower too. So different. We have Coast Guard Auxillary here in the States but they usually work from a boat. The wheat field was quite pretty as well as the drone shots of the area. Loved the tour. Thanks for sharing.

The Daymark Tower was really intriguing. Loved the interview with the volunteer at the Coast Watch. He was good at telling about his and others jobs and a cool story. Great hike. Those wild ponies are amazing. Hopefully Kim got some close up shots of those ponies. That coastline was just gorgeous. Something to see for sure. I'm not a huge fan of elevated hikes either. Kissing gate.❤.
Glad you enjoyed it. The volunteers were so passionate and lovely to speak to. It is a beautiful area but yes it was quite tough in places. Either steep down or steep up not much flat. The daymark tower was on my list of places I wanted to photograph when we holidayed in Devon the other year, sadly I'm never did get there, I hope Kim got some great shots of it. Not sure if I have ever heard of a Daymark...put a light on top and you get yourself a Lighthouse! lol That is very cool...I'd volunteer there! Perfect exploration area...except maybe for the steps...we've run into some of them giant strides as well. Hi Watto that was beautiful and it was great how you were honest in saying " I'd love to say this was fun ! " 🤭 then you explained that it was beautiful but hard and that you grumbled and swore your way around it but it was worth it . That's great that you put people in the picture and it will encourage them to do it because you showed the beauty there, but have prepared them. You did have some fabulous views and the drone footage over that 1864 Tower and wheat fields were brilliant that you took. The guys at coast watch were really helpful to you too. Halarious "Who ever made these steps must be a giant." Those long steps always throw your rhythm off. Like 1 1\2 steps then up one. Like the footage from the bird good edit I think. Very long hike and not easy. Thoughly enjoyable video and informative. Have a wonderful weekend both of you.

I enjoyed watching this and all your Devon/Cornwall videos. Ever since having read The Salt Path from Raynor Winn I have been doubly keen to visit and seeing the time isn't yet right ( but will be one day) I am reveling in the Devonshire countryside through your eyes and feet. 🚶♀🚶That tower is amazing..what an interesting structure. Stunning views along the way as reward for the effort one put sin on such a wandering walk....! ~Where would we be without people like the coastguard volunteer. Wonderful work and so interesting not to mention vital. I so understand that feeling: " have we bitten off more than we can chew!" Had that once in France. Wished there was a helicopter come pick me up 😂! Proud you achieved the ultimate. Great support for Kim too- helping her when in a tight spot. 🌷🎉 What was the distance of the walk Waddo? We did wonder if it was too much a few times but glad we completed it. Distance is not that far it is just the steepness and with the steps being huge makes it difficult. It is around 4 miles ish. Thanks mate. It was hard for me as I am just way too heavy for this kind of steep hikes. But we got it done and enjoyed it as well. We took our time as we just wanted to complete it. The distance isn’t far at around 4 miles is say but it is either down or up. The steps are my nemesis. And they are huge for Kim. Thanks for watching and your support. That is so awesome from the drone. Love seeing those types of old buildings from the sky. Fun to see the coast watch and hear about all they are able to do. You definitely give us something better to watch than the tele...A rough path but a fun one to see. Always helps to have a pole to pull....lol.

An aid to navigation without the light on top, fascinating! A coastal watch tower too. So different. We have Coast Guard Auxillary here in the States but they usually work from a boat. The wheat field was quite pretty as well as the drone shots of the area. Loved the tour. Thanks for sharing.

The Daymark Tower was really intriguing. Loved the interview with the volunteer at the Coast Watch. He was good at telling about his and others jobs and a cool story. Great hike. Those wild ponies are amazing. Hopefully Kim got some close up shots of those ponies. That coastline was just gorgeous. Something to see for sure. I'm not a huge fan of elevated hikes either. Kissing gate.❤.
Glad you enjoyed it. The volunteers were so passionate and lovely to speak to. It is a beautiful area but yes it was quite tough in places. Either steep down or steep up not much flat. The daymark tower was on my list of places I wanted to photograph when we holidayed in Devon the other year, sadly I'm never did get there, I hope Kim got some great shots of it. Not sure if I have ever heard of a Daymark...put a light on top and you get yourself a Lighthouse! lol That is very cool...I'd volunteer there! Perfect exploration area...except maybe for the steps...we've run into some of them giant strides as well. Hi Watto that was beautiful and it was great how you were honest in saying " I'd love to say this was fun ! " 🤭 then you explained that it was beautiful but hard and that you grumbled and swore your way around it but it was worth it . That's great that you put people in the picture and it will encourage them to do it because you showed the beauty there, but have prepared them. You did have some fabulous views and the drone footage over that 1864 Tower and wheat fields were brilliant that you took. The guys at coast watch were really helpful to you too. Halarious "Who ever made these steps must be a giant." Those long steps always throw your rhythm off. Like 1 1\2 steps then up one. Like the footage from the bird good edit I think. Very long hike and not easy. Thoughly enjoyable video and informative. Have a wonderful weekend both of you.

This octagonal tower has unique tall arched legs and it's high enough to guide the mariners. The footage of this tower from The sky and the music create a dynamic entrance to this video.

I enjoyed watching this and all your Devon/Cornwall videos. Ever since having read The Salt Path from Raynor Winn I have been doubly keen to visit and seeing the time isn't yet right ( but will be one day) I am reveling in the Devonshire countryside through your eyes and feet. 🚶♀🚶That tower is amazing..what an interesting structure. Stunning views along the way as reward for the effort one put sin on such a wandering walk....! ~Where would we be without people like the coastguard volunteer. Wonderful work and so interesting not to mention vital. I so understand that feeling: " have we bitten off more than we can chew!" Had that once in France. Wished there was a helicopter come pick me up 😂! Proud you achieved the ultimate. Great support for Kim too- helping her when in a tight spot. 🌷🎉 What was the distance of the walk Waddo? I’m sure you will manage to get across soon. Glad you enjoyed seeing this beautiful area. I have more to come from Devon so stay tuned as they say. We did wonder if it was too much a few times but glad we completed it. Distance is not that far it is just the steepness and with the steps being huge makes it difficult. It is around 4 miles ish.

Thanks mate. It was hard for me as I am just way too heavy for this kind of steep hikes. But we got it done and enjoyed it as well. We took our time as we just wanted to complete it. The distance isn’t far at around 4 miles is say but it is either down or up. The steps are my nemesis. And they are huge for Kim. Thanks for watching and your support.
