If a game caters to the players too much, the game will not survive. if a game does not cater the players, players will look for another one. Genshin Impact holds the monopoly of the open world gacha game for years, and they did things however they want. Stingy ass rewards, mediocre updates, disregarding what players actually wants from the game. They tipped the scale towards them and made huge cash stack doing it. But here's the thing tho.. The competition arrives with the same mindset which is "to make huge cash stack" but using the opposite approach, they put the scale back to its middle ground. So yea.. all they think is "more money" 100% but i'll go to the one that actually caters to what I want and gives me satisfaction than the one who is just being forced to give it
It's sad that it took 2 big releases for any changes to come to Genshin. Wuwa drops and shortly after, resin cap is increased and Imaginarium Theater is released. ZZZ drops and all of a sudden, they release QoL updates.
Imagine thinking ZZZ affected this at all. Same company dude. Also, Imaginarium Theater was something already planned at least. Game modes that big/complex dont just take a mere few weeks to do. The resin increase (and ONLY the resin increase) was definitely because of WuWa though... even though its worse now since you wont have max resin when you log on now.
These arent good changes even if you do still play cause you wont be able to benefit much if at all from the encounter points. And we can already do the domains without issue. I still want them to make it so you can get drops from a weekly boss more than once per week. There are already 3 different drops, so it's Rng to get the 1 that you need for a character, but then you only get one chance per week on top of that. Then the stone to convert a drop into a different one is Rng too 😂 It's terribly designed. Rng on top of timegating on top of Rng. The least they could do is give us some of the stones as event rewards or something like with the weapon billets.
They try to redeem themselves, but it is not enough. They know Kurogame are real threats. PGR has a lot of awesome characters. They treat us like shit , now we should reverse. been asking from a YEARS ago for condensed resin cap to be 10 and resin cap just raised last patch LOL. no matter how they want to make daily quest easier, ppl are STILL feel forced to play the game everyday if they didnt change CR cap and resin cap still needed to be cleared up every 24 hours. (200 X 8) / 60 = around every 26 hours the resin capped. . also they are limiting the world level difference for lower world level players into higher one even just by 1 level differences. in coop, i found that many newer players are struggling defeatin bosses like oceanid, but once their world items to ascend characters depleted, they cannot go to my world to take some because im higher world level, stucked there. like dude, even if the boss in my world drop more ascension items, the difference on how many we need to do them is just 1-2 battle, its soo fukin petty to gate them like that

Some facts here: These changes arent even good, for veterans of the game. Veterans will not be able to benefit from the encounter points due to already having the quests and exploration done, and those domains are no threat. The changes are only for new players, which they are not getting in droves anyway. Their time has passed. These changes, whether they are done because of WuWa or not, mean little to nothing at this point.

Memes aside, i think they did add a lot of great QOLs before, its just that this one is just that good while the ones before had like one good QOL change and the rest is in the middle of the road

I still want them to make it so you can get drops from a weekly boss more than once per week. There are already 3 different drops, so it's Rng to get the 1 that you need for a character, but then you only get one chance per week on top of that. Then the stone to convert a drop into a different one is Rng too 😂 It's terribly designed. Rng on top of timegating on top of Rng.
The least they could do is give us some of the stones as event rewards or something like with the weapon billets.
They try to redeem themselves, but it is not enough. They know Kurogame are real threats. PGR has a lot of awesome characters. They treat us like shit , now we should reverse. We player have a choice pressure them to do well. Btw I still play genshin, but I will not spend 🙂 because I dont know where they invest in.

been asking from a YEARS ago for condensed resin cap to be 10 and resin cap just raised last patch LOL. no matter how they want to make daily quest easier, ppl are STILL feel forced to play the game everyday if they didnt change CR cap and resin cap still needed to be cleared up every 24 hours. (200 X 8) / 60 = around every 26 hours the resin capped.

also they are limiting the world level difference for lower world level players into higher one even just by 1 level differences. in coop, i found that many newer players are struggling defeatin bosses like oceanid, but once their world items to ascend characters depleted, they cannot go to my world to take some because im higher world level, stucked there. like dude, even if the boss in my world drop more ascension items, the difference on how many we need to do them is just 1-2 battle, its soo fukin petty to gate them like that

Are you sure you use the resin however you want? I thought it was going to cost 30 resin for a daily. So you lose the resin but you get to skip a daily.

Also the fact that the NPCs in Wuthering waves got better faces and details more than most of the 4 stars characters in Genshin speaks loudly
Only change that would make a difference for me is some sort of pity/guaranteed progression in the artifact farm.
if they added more game modes for combat, kinda like how in star rail there's simulated and divergent universes and all the modes there, then maybe I'd download genshin again. this is just whatever to me. maybe would've been more exciting 2 years ago

It seems like they only care about new players all of their updates have been catering to them lately
Some facts here: These changes arent even good, for veterans of the game. Veterans will not be able to benefit from the encounter points due to already having the quests and exploration done, and those domains are no threat. The changes are only for new players, which they are not getting in droves anyway. Their time has passed. These changes, whether they are done because of WuWa or not, mean little to nothing at this point.
