it requires more in terms of memorization and pushes you more in terms of dodging, overall not that bad but still a good step up

Watching people play Touhou makes me want to play Touhou, but then I remember I'm bad at Touhou, so I quit after 15 minutes.

i recommend starting with the early windows games, so from 6 and up. embodiment of scarlet devil is good difficulty-wise, but it's a bit primitive (it has no hitbox indicator and the stages are weirdly balanced), so if you want a bit more modern then 7 is better. you can try to surf games a bit after getting into it, but i recommend going for a no continue-clear (1cc), it's a lot of fun
