If you mean the one where he does the body slam twice, what you do is the regular heavy rush attack, then you follow it up with the push move (back on analog stick, then forward on analog stick + heavy attack button).
I would go for the weapons and money first. The effort in doing so will still level up your characters in the meantime, but you'll have better chances with better weapons. I'd recommend grinding with Missions 49 and 50 which are the gun missions where you're playing pseudo-Galaga against the Insecticons.

Watch my videos of Optimus and Bumblebee, and you'll see the common strategy I utilize is equipping a glove weapon (no knuckles or blades), use the Weak+Strong+Strong combo to knock an enemy down, then unload on their heads. Second tip is to take advantage of Reversals. It's a skill you buy at the shop, but definitely useful. The moment you dodge an enemy attack before Focus Mode activates, hold either the Weak or Strong attack button to pull that off as a counterattack. SS Ranks are dependent on how many points you rack up. Headshots and Reversals are a few ways to do so, but then there are also Parries, Focus Mode activations, Stunning enemies, Status Ailments, and so on.
Random weapon drop on Prime difficulty. Ideally, you'd want to play the missions where you fight the Autobots, but fight them as Grimlock with techs and weapon components that increase Rare Weapon drops.
