I just made my very first Dulce de Leche pie for a dinner with friends tonight. I poured my Dulce de Leche into a graham cracker pie crust and topped it with chopped pecans, then topped with dollops of cool whip, then dusted with chocolate and chocolate shavings. I hope it is good!!! I want to make this pecan pie next.
I’ve made caramel pecan pie a few times with my homemade caramel, but I just discovered dulce de leche, so I think I’ll try it with that instead. Thanks for the recipe!

Omg, I love you Pati, for what you did to this pie, adding cajeta and chocolate is genius. I wish I could do the homemade pie crust without it fighting me! lol, so I caved and got pre made pie crusts.
