Great video. This is Richard from Chile. Where can I download CSDTK42 compiler for Windows ? The AI Thinker links are actually dead. I only see the Linux version.
Nice tutorial. Can you make a call from this device using the microphone that is attached in the board? Is it possible to attach a head phone to listen the person from other side? Thanks
My previous reply seems to have been deleted. No, no solution, no SD access via AT, and it doesn't work to drive the exposed pins from another microcontroller. There is an embedded on the A9G that you can program but it's not Arduino compatible and has a different logic voltage
Thank you for the tutorial. I've just bought this module, but when I connect it to AIThinker, it always send some information on the debug screen even I didn't send command at all. It seems to be pre-programmed by someone. How to restore the firmware to it's original (default) firmware?
I had the same problem, to solve this was necessary upgrade the SW with the flash download tool, I downloaded the firmware from github, now the module works fine.
@@carlosbarranco1567 Thanks! I've succesfully rewrite the firmware and it now can response my command as I espected. The GPRS function works well, but not the GPS. Everytime I send command AT+GPSRD it always responding with a fixed location somewhere that is not mine. Someone says to use dedicated battery, but not help. Any advise about this?
@@AzharElectronics jaja i mean, this module doesnt work with 4g sim card, i am right?. So, can we put some other model that allow us to use the 4g sim card?
This module only support 2G and 2G mobile networks are no more now. It is now kind a useless. So you will not be able to use this module post a location to a internet. SMS and GPS will still work where there is coverage.

Good work and thanks for sharing. How does one access the SD card, is it possible via AT commands or some of the exposed pins?
