Si happy to see you again, return with more ABBA songs in your channel
Congratulations on your reaction to "Honey honey"
    very good and catchy song
It is from the post "Waterloo" era of 1974, when ABBA was looking for its second success, and the revival of "Ring ring", plus the singles "Honey honey" and "So long" did not achieve great impact
and they had to wait for 1975 with the approach of "I do I do I do I do I do" and the definitive impact of "S.O.S." that will start your unbroken chain of successes
"Honey honey" is from the group in which The boys on the one hand and The girls on the other sing verses in solo responding,
as in the debut: "People need love"
and the following: "He is your brother"
    and: "Love isn't easy"
"Honey honey" also is the last song recorded by ABBA in swedish too
These is a TV perfomance in Germany 1974, with the smash hit "Waterloo" in first time
The costumes they use are Superheroes with superpowers, they did it in 1974 from the promotional video for "Ring ring"
Note: the TV host introduces the girls as
    'Anna Frida' and 'Anna'
ABBA had just won Eurovision and weren't massively famous yet, and since Agnetha was difficult to pronounce she uses 'Anna' (just like in Eurovision) to facilitate ABBA's popular and commercial insertion.
in fact, in 1975 ABBA was not yet massive and you can see Agnetha and Frida wearing their names on the back of their iconic cat dresses
    best regards from
    Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷

Simplicity is an interesting thing. Like anyone can do it, so many might supress simplicity in their music and become complicated and "real" composers. Well, to be simple can be the most complicated thing in music if you connect that with some sort of banality without skills.
I can tell as a musician that Abba has fantastic skills for melodies and playing. It's not Paganini that craves fantastic technical skills but it reach out and grab people's heart and soul and that is not simple!
Thanks dear Psyche for sharing this ❤🌷

Sublime ❤️ - Simplicity should be easy, but somehow the most organic things are the hardest to achieve - as an example - look at Organic food - we have to pay more for something that is pure and pay less for something that has been been genetically modified and dreadful for mankind - how on earth does that make sense? It seems everything pure is being crushed - and fake, lying, rubbish and throw away is the new normal - the World has turned upside down but it seems on purpose. This is why I run my channel they way I do, sticking to my integrity, not promising more than can be delivered, honest and open and accommodating as humanly possible and for the right reasons: it's people like you who make me realise how worthwhile the effort is. xx ❤️

@@psycheinc-theSLC Words!! ❤👏So well put and I totally agree. I salute you for the way you think!! We should encourage food that doesn't use the human body as a trash can. They talked about climate changes and using electric cars etc at the same time kids drink energy drinks every day, smoke, use snuff, live on junk food etc.
      Crazy! 😐

I remember this song as a kid in the 70s. It was all over the place in 1974 here in sweden. Great memories. And yes, the fashion was crazy but I still love it. 🌟😄❤️🥂🌷

Think your face says it all at 3.32, so glad you enjoyed this, its a really great tune. Totally agree with your comment about ABBA coming across as seasoned performers despite this being really early on in their career, they totally do act that way, i always think it was because music was just in their blood and because of that it comes so naturally to them and because of that early in their career they did act as though they had been making music forever when in reality they hadnt. Thanks for reacting to this!

I found out something very intetsting about Frida. Not sure if you knew she took classes in clothes design in stockholm and was a very accomplished seamstress. The outfits you see them wearing here are Fridas designs and lots of her tayloring. She also designed the blue and gold cat dresses she and Agnetha loved to wear and the Waterloo costumes. She sewed many things for Agnetha when she was very pregnant. She loved to sew her own clothes and even sdewed clothes for her dogs lol.

ABBA wasn't just a bunch of doe eyed teens who got together and played in their garage before they became famous. Every single member of the group was already a star before they collaborated.

    • @JohnDoe-lt8fd
      @JohnDoe-lt8fd 2 месяца назад +1

Yep, in fact the word supergroup applies to ABBA but not the Beatles. According to Wikipedia, a supergroup is comprised of people who were already famous. The members of ABBA were famous in Sweden before they formed the band, but the Beatles didn't become famous until after the band was formed.

      Not exactly
Bjorn and Benny met in 1966
They met Agnetha and Frida in 1969 (and begin their relationships as couples)
rhe ladies did backing vocals to ine song in swedish of Bjorn & Benny as a duet in 1970
and first ABBA song [in English] is in 1972
