as someone who was called boring and prude several times just for being more reserved, I feel her. I sometimes tried to look more energetic and confident but I simply am not lol
Thanks for this. What a showcase for ultra-glamorous 40's fashion & hairstyles. Wow. The fashions were designed by Travis Banton, Muriel King, and Gwen Wakeling & the head hairstylist at Columbia was Helen Hunt.
Harry Cohn saw Rita as a vulnerable femme fatale. The end of this scene was a brief, rare moment for cutting loose comically, but in the story she's faking the animation. Poor Rita's normal modes were vamping or glooming. She took life terribly seriously, and in the end it broke her.
I wish more females would realize that having confidence in your own individual look and personality is what makes you stand out. There are so many females now that have what I call the generic Brittany Spears look, yes attractive but not alluring. I've yet to meet an "ugly" person because everyone has something that stands out. The difference is that some have confidence, others do not.
@@walqqr1maybe her daughters aren’t very nice to her, we don’t know. I agree it’s a bad mindset…I’ve been hurt by other women and despite the betrayals…I couldn’t imagine not having my gal pals. It’s time to see the world not in gender but as individuals.

Rita Hayworth considered herself a comedic actress and this is a perfect example as to why. I love her so much I can’t describe it.
Me too. An angel walked and danced among us ❤️

My guess is that Travis Banton designed for Rita Hayworth while the other two designed for the other characters.
Rita . . . . As always, DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!
Rita was so Beautiful ❤️
Rita was simply Gorgeous 🥰
The clothes are fabulous!
"My GLANDS weren't right!" LOL!
Eve Arden is priceless in this scene.
“If she knew how to walk…” LOL
Wow she set up her own friend
hermosas mujeres finas y elegantes .
It is the scene that shows what human beings can do to destroy their competitor.
No one like Rita❤
Rita como sempre dando um banho de atuação.
0:19 Ah yes, the experience of being a woman in the midst of other women. My favorite thing.
In that situation just smile and greet them. Confidence is disarming.
Oh I need to know if it all turned out allright later.
As usual Rita wins in the end
Que hermoso esto, parece que hubiera sido filmado hace un par de años!🌻🤩
This made me mad
Rita was sweet and actually did get treated like this in real life
@@orangemascaralike every beautiful woman
Cover girl Rita at her best

I’m glad GILDA was not done In Technicolor because black and white just looks better.
Since Rita was obviously the star of this movie, this unsuccessful audition couldn't have prevented her from getting on the magazine cover.
Please post the full movie ❤

That's why I don't have girl friends. I don't even get alone with the my daughters. Women are so vindictive.😞
I feel bad for your daughters, imagine have a mother with that mindset.

You already had a misogynistic mind. Stop blaming others for your bad upbringing
Men are worst lol
Che orrori? L.? Abbigliamento? Mai visto abiti più brutti?? 😀😂🤣👺💣💥
Mi spiace ma ... non capisci proprio nulla . Ciao e buona giornata
