Both the Oklahoma and Vandy loss was to a team that had 2 weeks off before playing. Both were road games. Why does Alabama still get the majority of off week teams, 4 this year? No other SEC had the schedule Alabama had!
Clemson is seeded behind SMU because Clemson is the 5th highest ranked conference champion. Since they’re outside of the top 12, they have to go to the 12th seed. It’s in the rules.
In this system if Big 10 teams at the top don’t drop games, SEC teams will not get in with 3 losses. And it doesn’t matter who the losses are to or how they lost. These non con games right now can only help them and can only hurt you. That’s not good.
I gotta be honest, I’ve been an Alabama fan since the 80s and I do believe the SEC is usually the best football conference, almost every year. But there is an air of entitlement that’s turning even me off. So I can imagine how it comes off to the rest of the country. For me personally, it would’ve been cool if Alabama got in the playoff after this season, but it would’ve felt like a gift. It’s true we had a valid case to get in, but that’s true for a handful of other teams who were left out, too. Some fans are acting as if it’s some kind of injustice that we were left out. As if we are owed a spot just because of who we are. As if this team wasn’t absolute trash, frankly, in several games this year. Not just mediocre or having an off day, but true hot garbage. They also looked amazing some days, but it was one extreme or the other all year. They did nothing to give anyone any confidence that they could perform even somewhat consistently week-to-week, which is what they’d need to do to have a chance in the playoffs. I’d have loved to have seen them in, and on a good day they could win it all, but I’m also somewhat relieved that I didn’t have to watch them go to Notre Dame or Penn State and lay a stinker, and get crushed by a less talented team in front of the whole country. Which is something they have shown the ability and willingness to do this year. We never would’ve heard the end of that. I stopped worrying about the playoffs as far as my team is concerned after the Oklahoma debacle. Move on to the bowl and next season. There’s a lot to be optimistic about.
@ last year they were a thousand percent more qualified than FSU and made it within one play of the national title game, in overtime against the champions. They were clearly one of the four best teams. I have to disagree; them being in last year was the correct call. This year, no way. But thank you and good luck to you as well.
Born in tuscaloosa, Im a die hard bama fan, but Alabama didnt belong in the playoffs. Alabama schedule should never include a road game against vandy, it don't matter, its a win. Going to Norman Ok, that's got to be a win. SOS was said to be the focal point, the sec should get the benefit of the doubt. However, losing to vandy and OK they did not deserve to be in. It seems to me to be a Jalen Milroe problem. After the game against Georgia, the offense was pushing JM, and every defense knew that. OK sold out on everything and dared Bama to do anything else and they ran JM right into a loss.

Cry about it
Look at the schedule closer. That's not true. Alabama had one week off. Use your glasses, include the dates.
@@gregHames-u6nsavage 😂😂😂😂😂😂 roll Tide
How can a team be out of the playoffs when they were never in the playoffs? Just asking.

Alabama should leave the SEC.
Reading the comments I don’t think people understand that strength of schedule don’t matter at all.
Sure it does. It’s one criterion. There are others.
The loss to OU was way worse than UGAs loss to ole Miss
Ok

It’s an air of entitlement for Alabama. They shouldn’t have belonged last year. And they didn’t belong this year. Better luck next year

Because CFP refuses SOS or SOR, then SEC MUST leave! Why should SEC put up with that? SEC Championship Playoff tons of $NIL$. BONUS No Committee!
