Always knew you were a tough cookie Juliette but this was an utterly inspiring watch. You didn't even look that tired to me! What a monster of an event and amazing achievement 💪

I've done multiple trail races and I have been more than welcomed being one of the few black runners out there on that given day giving my all. No one stared at me crazy or gave me a side eyed look. Everyone was out there suffering together and no one really cared what the other person looked like. It is true that the outdoors is for everyone. It would be also great if there were more "people of color" at trail events. But let's not make it seem as if trail events are preventing "people of color" from entering in them. I give respect to anyone who laces up and give their all. At the end of the day it's up to you to get out there and crush those miles.

seeing people like you can be just the extra push to go out there and go for that dream. That thing you may never thought was available to you, or silly, or foolish.

I respect that. But I've seen more togetherness running an ultra marathon than I've seen in other sports. It doesn't matter what you wear, or how you look. Also in the vid you see people cheering on everyone. So that tells you something right there.@@monique6604

As a European I do not understand such videos. Instead of motivating all people to do more sports (while buying your product, what is probably your main concern), you focus on race issues. Since you exclude other races with this video, you now have to shoot other videos of other races, equally distributed. If you do not accept and appreciate and follow my advice, I will deeply be offended and feel neglected and unseen. I thus will not buy and of your items and encouragemy family and friends to do so, too.

Interesting comment. The video doesn't actually talk about race at all. The 3 women have different motivations, one is new to running and wants to show her kids she can do it, the other is a good runner and wants to test herself and the third was motivated by the death of a good friend. If we want to encourage new faces into events like this it's right that we give representation on those we don't often see. The fact that you are offended by this says quite a lot. @@ringoheinrich7021

Agree to a certain extent but we should be careful not to apply our own experiences to everyone. Theory of mind may offer the ability to understand that other people's circumstances, fears, beliefs and emotions are different from our own and as such they may see the world through an entirely different lens. Some people may feel very self conscious and exposed being the only Black person on the start line. It great that you have the confidence to step up and enter and that you felt comfortable doing so, unfortunately that is not the case for all. I don't think that this piece suggests that events are preventing POC from entering but rather celebrating the fact that they are.

This is so awesome. I hope to run my first trail race in my home state of Arkansas. Super exciting to watch these ladies in action.
