I haven’t played this game yet but the way friendship works and the ability to get help from more experienced players sounds really special! Honestly a lot of games could benefit from having a similar system
I love sky cotl so much! They really do keep adding so much to the game, everytine i go back to it theres always so much more to do. Its such a wholesome community too, and that aurora concert. Its hard to find the words to express what a magical experience it was and right when the world really needed it too 💜
Love, love, looove playing this game! It is so cozy. Recommend, for everyone. My little one also plays this on her switch and I love the fact that you can turn off the chat feature using the Nintendo parental controls app. I hope they partner with another artist so we can get another in game concert. (I still watch the Aurora concert here on YT)

I gave up on this game because of the lack of community and help. The real world dollars to get cosmetics and the length of time and gameplay it took just to be able to light a few candles. Maybe I'll try it again. Perhaps it's changed since I played it a year ago.
Fun fact: not really- it got a tad bit worse. The new seasons are truly beautiful and are getting much more better with awesome lore. They also give nice free things. But now for the events you only get two spells and then it resets for a whole year until the event comes back. So no more stacking spells for later use; only two and most people use one to try it out so you technically only get one spell per year.
Oh man I absolutely love the aesthetic of this game, so cozy and perfect! I wish I kept remembering it existed!! I played it on my phone and switch a while back, but have been gaming mostly on my steamdeck. 👀 Guess I'm going to have to download it again!! 🥰
Hold on! We call newcomers „mophs“ not for their appearance but for their behaviour to fly mostly towards the „light“ by using their call becouse they feel kinda lost xD u knooow! Once ur used to everything and unlocked all gifts from the spirits we r veterans
its fun for a first playthrough and a few but the dev team has become so greedy over time with iap 😭 for 3 season of bloom capes its $150 and it takes around 2-4 hours to do daily candle farm ☠️ for 20 candles
This. When they changed the way you gathered light, it was the beginning of the end for me. I just wasn't a fan of the new system, and the cost for the newest, coolest stuff began getting insanely expensive. As someone who puts a lot of value on cosmetics in the games I play, this definitely wasn't a "free" game for me. In fact, it was eating so much of my cash, I had to uninstall for my own good. I'm sure it's a great game for people who either care less about having the newer stuff or who have plenty of cash to spare. But for me... there are better things to spend my money on.
How much of it is cooperative? Do you have to work together for much of it? I don't really like working with others in games. They're where I go to escape people, lol.
Na its not necessary except for a couple of doors to open (but mostly random players r there wanting to get through too) and a questline in the forest but otherwise ur able to singleplay it no problem (im singleplaying it as well for 3 years now)
@@SableCatDog Something else too, if you want hearts, you will have to befriend people in order to get them. Some cosmetics do require those, as well as emote upgrades.
I've been playing for about six to seven months now, and though this game is amazing, burnout is to be expected. Also, the prices for the cosmetics is pretty high, in my opinion (whether in-game currency or actual dollars). Microtransactions exist out the wazoo for this game, which is pretty disappointing since over half of the cosmetics are stuck behind paywalls. This game can be pretty dangerous in sucking you in if you are drawn to cosmetics, so I highly recommend not playing this game for hours at a time, and really keeping a tight rein on your wallet. It's a fun game, yes. And you don't have to have the cosmetics to play, yes. But once you see everyone else with the super cool stuff, you can't help but be tempted into getting them for yourself. And based upon my experience, from the looks of it, the game is not focused so much on the story anymore like it apparently was years ago. It's centered more around the cosmetics, more so than even the social interaction aspect. And speaking of social interaction, it's pretty difficult finding players who are willing to help you open doors, send hearts to your Shared Spaces, or even a buddy to play with. Sky is fun, but if you're looking to make your Sky Kid as fashionable as possible, while also looking to be a loner, this game might not be as enjoyable as you think after a decent amount of time. With all that said, though, there are super cool things to find, such as AURORA and the many spirits that linger throughout the realms, plus the chance of finding someone you really connect with. It just depends on how you go in, but know that this game is far from perfect...
Great video and great game it looks beautiful on steamdeck and so much smoother than on my switch. Although it runs beautifully on my oled but it's even better on steam wow just wow. I'm like you it's a game I will always keep coming back to because it's just the most beautiful game I've played and will never forget thee aurora concert litterly had me crying my eyes out and that has never ever happened to me when playing a game. These devs have absolutely out done thereselves and for a free game is just unbelievable. I cant wait for there next concert in the game now and I'll make sure I have tissues at the ready.

I was hooked on this game for quite awhile. That said, I had to stop playing due to the things that *do* cost money. Sure, you can play the game for free and have a lot of fun that way. But if you're like me and you really, really enjoy having the coolest outfits, animations, etc, it's going to be difficult to resist paying money for those things. I ended up putting way too much money into this "free" game, and uninstalled for my own sanity. But hey, for those with more self-control and/or who don't care quite as much about cosmetics, it's a really great option.

I love the game, but I’m so annoyed that you lose your wings constantly with the final level. When I play the game, there’s almost nobody to play with. Had to do Eden on my own the first time and it sucked without help. And I don’t to play it again. The lack of people makes this game boring though :/.
