I grew up near Enoshima and have been there many a time. I like the Enoshima train line to and from Kamakura. It's so quaint--first going through a busy street, then it runs along a beach (Shichirigahama maybe?). Great editing job! Thanks
That big yellow fish you saw was a Butterfly Koi. Koi carp is a colorful fish, which looks like a giant goldfish, you see in a pond of Japanese gardens, and butterfly Koi is a Koi with long fins.
thank you for this upload, I enjoyed it verry much. Your videos are my favorites about japan so far! Nice spot for a short trip if I visit Japan in the future.
I remember being at this same exact place in June :) so cool to see you enjoying it as well! if I come to japan in August maybe I'll run into you all! thank you so much for the videos !!!
It's so pretty there and the ocean :0 ! If I'll be able to visit there next year while studying in Sapporo that's the place I definitely want to see! ♡
I went there!! I loved Enoshima too :-) My favourite place was the bamboo forest in Kamakura, so beautiful! And gotta find that ice cream melon pan next time, it looks yummy...!
This is definitely your best video so far! The athmosphere that comes with it is so infective (I hope I can use that word in this context) anyway it makes me want to go there immmmmediately. Music is great. Editing is great. The mood changes from happy to calm. Congrats you made a new fan! I hope you will still be in Japan next year. I sure want to meet you then :D
Thank you for uploading this blog omg those places are so beautiful ;-; I can't wait to visit after graduation! (or over the summer in high school if my parents let me study)
I lived in Kamakura while i was an exchange student, and my school was near ennoshima! So its rly nice to see ur Video and remember all the stuff i did there ^~^
HI Kelly, Great choice! me and my fiancee always visit Japan once a year, and she loves Kamakura! There is a place called kirara (雲母) for anmitsu in Kamakura (It's so hidden so might be bit hard to find). You might want to check it out. They serve the best anmitsu in the town (my opinion). Check that it out if you re-visit the Kamakura.
I'm bummed I didn't make it for the first place. It looked nice and the view from where you ate was beautiful! Also, I laughed at the heights part for some reason. You're so cute lol
Actually, if you need to have lunch around Enoshima-Kamakura area, you should try nama-shirasu-don in Enoshima at restaurant Tobiccho. My wife 's favorites. nama-shirasu-don and sazae no tsuboyaki. She is an European. We used to live in Nishi-Kamkura.To eat around Kamakura station is way to expensive. What you should try there is murasaki-imo-softcream.
That's odd. I had heard or read somewhere that the great kamakura Buddha was under restoration and covered up. You couldn't go inside as well. Glad to see I got that wrong and many people can still see it.
The daibatsu is great to see during the sakura season! And did you enter the inside of it? Did you see many cats whilst on Enoshima? I went there after all the tourists had gone and the place was pretty much overrun with cats! But I went when we had that freak snow day in the Kanto region during April and it was freezing!!! :( haha.
Wow so beautiful. I am a retired veteran of the Canadian Forces and would not be able to walk as far as you guys did are there any option for disabled people? Btw I love your videos thank you for sharing your life with everyone.
This looks awesome! I remember you saying you have an allergy to nuts, so do I. I see you eating all this street food, especially desserts like ice cream. Is it easy to find street food that is nut free with no cross contamination? I want to visit Japan but I'm extremely anxious about traveling with allergies especially when I can't speak the language. Any info is helpful, thanks!
Thanks so much for replying to my comment!! Do you find that when you ask, people are understanding of your allergy even in non tourists areas? Im not sure how much people know about allergies in Japan and I honestly want to move there for a year. I watch all your videos and tell myself that if you can live there without any issues finding food, I would be able to do it too! Thanks again!
HI Kelly, We are traveling to Japan in May...second time for me :) We have never been to kamakura and Enoshima....are they close to each other (walking distance)? We are going to try and book one night at the Andon Ryokan before we head to Kyoto. Thank you for your video as it shows us places to try that we normally would not know of :) Also, do you take a bus or train from Tokoyo to Kamakura or Enoshima? Yvette :)
Your Videos are the reason why I am visiting Japan this summer!! Thank you for them and keep them coming!

You can go direct to Kamakura from Narita or Haneda airports nowadays, perhaps that's why it's more popular than ever!

+jenjenn96 You should always ask! most food is safe but just in case, you should always check and make it clear how severe your allergy is.
