I really like the transition of vanraj in this movie.Liking her at first sight and behaving like the usual chauvinistic husbands does during Suhaag raat without her consent and then feeling clueless about her behavior and cold stares to utter disappointment when learning her past and later accepting and understanding her feelings and trying to unite her with her lover.Ajay nailed the role.Apart from that hated the parents worrying only about their status and log kya karenge attitude than their daughter’s liking.
Vanraj never loved her. He fell in love with her beauty. How can he love her when they hardly ever had a conversation. And then he was acting all dramatic n in that foreign land which made her feel pity for him and think that he loves her.
If he was a good human being, he would have stopped acting like a victim and just reunited the two lovers.

I’m surprised to read some comments that this movie shows the importance of a marriage and that too an arranged marriage. I’m not against any type of marriage, do whatever type of marriage you want, but what is most important is to know what you’re really getting into…for example, are the youth educated about marriage? What do they know about a man-woman intimate relationship?! Has the society or parents given them a clear understanding of sexual compatibility, emotional compatibility, and companionship!? What do Indian youth really know when they get married?
IMO, most Indian youth know nothing, they neither have knowledge nor experience. They’re simply pushed into a marriage based on various factors that do not include some of the most important aspects in marriages I’ve mentioned before! For example, let’s say they arranged a marriage based on caste, education, and employment. OK fine, but they also need to be honest and tell the 2 involved people that hey, if you’re not sexually attracted to each other after marriage, you’ve to adjust. You just have to live without any attraction for each other all your life. Make things honest and let the 2 involved people decide. Just bcoz someone’s cousin did it does not mean you can do it!
Without such honesty and clear knowledge of what is involved, the Indian society arrangements have become a joke, unfortunately! 😢
