Ikr. I just dropped close to 5 dramas before I finally found this one. I loved the main lead in Long Ballad so I'm happy to see him again. His acting and martial arts are great plus the storyline has me hooked.
This episode just introduced some badass, handsome guys that I've seen in other dramas led by the ML. Who says he's not handsome? For sure he is manly & does not look effeminate.
Love the scene where they gather together, so cool!!!. Fantastic drama, one of the best historical dramas in 2023. Everyone played their roles perfectly! Looking forward to their future projects!
I think most of the cast dubbed themselves this time, except Ruyi and the little marquis of An. But yes, I love it when actors dub themselves, it brings the character to life. Not that the voice actors do a bad job, it just feels more generic somehow.

I don’t know why even tho so many new actresses now days, but fan bing2, liu Shi Shi, crystal Liu, Ruby Lin, their acts is in another level, I think these actresses no need chemistry with her C-star they are fine by themselves. Their charisma so overwhelming 😍.

Wow, for as much crap as the lead gets for being “ugly and not worthy to have lead role” I think IMO he’s handsome and is doing a great job in this drama. I’ve only seen him in drama where he’s serious, I see a subtle comedic side to him. Very nice. Besides the fact that he has an extremely wonderful voice. I love some of the drama song he has sang. Beautiful!!

He is the best. The chinese “watee army“ was hired to bully him, as he is so much better than many other actors competing for the limited opportunities. Even under such bully, Liu Yuning was still by far the best rated actor from this drama, and he got over 1 million new fans since it was releases.

Watching this for Liu Yuning but also many of the main casts. Started watching Wuxia dramas only last year and it's my first time watching all the main supporting casts here in which I've wanted to watch a lot of them for a long time now. I love everyone already (esp Chen Youwei / Yuan Lu)! 🤭 He's so cute! I love how smart Yuanzhou is and never doubts anything he believes. His martial arts skills are no joke (as well as Yuan Lu's and Ruyi's)! Excited to see the martial arts of the other characters because man, I enjoy watching those fighting scenes so much! I was waiting for Alen Fang cuz why hasn't he been shown in the first 2 episodes 😭 But then when Yuanzhou said, "One of them is in prison," I was like, "Is Alen Fang finally coming???" YES FINALLY OMG I WAS RIGHT! I was super happy! 🥹 I heard he was a comedic character and couldn't wait to see him ahhh!!!! He never fails to make me laugh LMAOOOO I love him so much already 🤣 He always reminded me of Hyunbin first time I started getting into C-Dramas. And he's in a lot of dramas on my watchlist that I have yet to watch! I may start watching "The Long Ballad" next or soon after finding out both Liu Yuning and Alen Fang are there! PS 我也没觉得他不好看，只是说跟以前的对手戏男演员型不一样，所以被一些人拿来对比。至于跟韩星比较我觉得有点想多了。刘诗诗也没跟韩星演戏过吧?这个感觉不是很有可比性。

剧中的女性角色无论处于什么阵营处境，都很正常有礼（非常令人欢喜）可以好好交流，哪怕是心有不悦或是与他人斗智斗勇，她们的言谈举止也没有与人物应有的教养和人设相悖，符合她们在故事里的家世背景。而且，这些女性角色的行事动机和选择也都经得起推敲，不会无脑做些奇怪的事，不像其他无脑剧，把许多女性角色都塑造成无礼乱叫的脑残惹祸精，就为了尴尬的强行推动剧情。
公主的扮演者是何蓝逗啊，这个小姐姐演技真的超级好，我从绝爱之千岁大人里就被她开头第一集的演技折服到看到了全剧，真的好喜欢这种演技派❤
