Best British Rappers Of 2022 (Ranked) | Complex UK

- Here at Complex, we wanted to acknowledge and honour the achievements of UK rappers this past year by compiling a list of the 10 best!
To help us with this difficult task, we brought in some top industry experts and insiders, including Complex UK’s Editor-In-Chief, Joseph ‘JP’ Patterson, super-producer M1OnTheBeat, Capital Xtra’s Robert Bruce, Block Report’s Flashy Sillah, and music critic Mimi The Music Blogger.
Each of our panelists had to submit their own individual top 10 lists, based on the following criteria: Buzz / Impact & Influence / Body Of Work / Mainstream Radar / Rapping Ability / Other Achievements. Each list was then scored using a point system, and the rappers with the most points-the names that appeared most frequently and ranked the highest-would then enter the final 10.

Interesting that Loyle was not once in the conversation. Toured a sold out Europe. Sold out tour for 2023. Massive album which did numbers. And one of the best bodies of work this year

We need to put more respect on Lil Simz una her impact on the scene been one of the hardest in terms of production and actual bars. Cench/Trapo for me killed it this year.
Yoooo. As an American, I put Little Simz as Number One. She’s one of the only artists I knew from this list. We also know about Central Cee. Those two are the only ones with recognition in the USA. BUT YEAH LITTLE SIMZ #1

These things are bias to “street” rappers. After watching the whole thing it confirms it. With little simz, and kojey radical being on so low and the exclusion of rappers like loyle carner and lancey foux. Who had a wayyy better year than some of the people on that list.
How you gonna by trying to put Simz at 10. She’s one of the best British rappers of all time period.

The simz argument. Was stressing me. Her musicality is unmatched. Kendrick dropped her name as the best out the Uk. Jay z dropped her name as the best out the Uk. Not even that. I’m guessing this was filmed before simz dropped her album because that had to make her top 3
