I bought the engine and transmission out of this cruiser for my fj60 this year and just got it running. I can't wait to finish it up and start driving it regularly. So far the test drives have been great!

Lol the videos don't really show it, but this engine is LOUD. I've been daily driving this thing for a couple of years now, and I've gotten used to it. But the guy who bought the other cruiser wanted smooth and quiet, so he's putting a gasoline V8 in the 62.
I just needed better fuel economy.

@@ShytBoxWhisperer Yeah, 4BT is a loud engine with a lot of vibration. I heard a rumor that Gear Vendors does not recommend using their overdrive unit behind a 4BT. Tends to tear them up.

Vibes aren't too bad on this one, I used fluid filled mounts, and have it adapted to an nv4500 and the stock Toyota tcase. I drove it from middle TN to Utah and back a few weeks ago and it didn't fall apart.

Quite complex roads ain't these? Guys definitely in too much of a hurry tbh. 4 mph slower and you get to enjoy driving like it's Mario Cart for just a little while longer. Everyone seems going fast. Looks like rush hour. Amazing how efficient it was though tbh. They snaked through this artery right through the city. He even checked on his passenger. I don't live in a big city

Serious question- is 1st gear at the bottom left position instead of top left like in most stick shifts? I miss having a stick shift vehicle, they are way better than automatic or CVT's any day.

Why do people throw manual transmission into neutral while trying to stop?. You need to have the gears engaged at all times ,otherwise you are not in control .
