A summary video which shows the love story between the evil and ambitious Asura King Xuan Ye and Deity Ran Qing. While I liked the main cp of this drama but I really LOVED the parents' backstory and it stood out to me the most in terms of refreshing plot, characters and pace. I wish they could have made Xuan Ye and Ran Qing's story into a separate short drama because I found their story so interesting and refreshing. Not to mention when can we ever see Cheng Yi in an evil role? He totally slays it! Originally, Xuan Ye wasn't meant to be played by Cheng Yi but since they couldn't find anyone suitable for the role so the director had to ask Cheng Yi to play this character which was one day before they set off to Xinjiang to film. Cheng Yi had very short time to prepare yet he managed to give us such a great and different performance compared to his past roles. If it's safe for a whole month then the chances are higher that it won't get blocked at all (happened too often to me so I'm used to this 😂). Evil white-haired Cheng Yi is absolutely gorgeous and hot af. I hope he plays an evil role again cause he totally nailed Xuan Ye. I love their story so much.
The drama's tentative English title is called "Go to the Mountains and Sea". Hopefully we'll get an official title soon. But yay! He's going to play both the main lead and a villain in this new drama and the villain is as hot as Xuan Ye.
I'm so weak whenever I see him in silver hair. And his villain look in the new drama kind of reminds me of Xuan Ye too with the black and red in his outfit. I think they use live recording so most likely he won't be dubbed unless the production team decides otherwise but that would cause uproar because we all prefer his real voice.

Many might disagree with me but in my opinion he had more sizzling chemistry with Ran Qing's actress Zhang Zhi Xi. I mean I did like Ying Yuan and Yan Dan's story too but if I have to be honest then I do admit that on-screen chemistry wise XY & RQ wins. Cheng Yi and Yang Zi are closer in real life so they win off-screen chemistry wise ☺

This drama is dumpster fire but this sequence of the series is excellent. I've waited about a year to watch and was sorely disappointed. frankly, I would've preferred them as the ML. I loved the drama, but I was just going to say they got done better than the main couple. At least they got a fair and consistent arc with an amazing ending. And, you know that bit of half a second glimpse we get of Xuanye about thirty episodes before he ever appears? When Yingyuan is blindfolded and chained to the tree, and his father's sword appears for the first time and gets a memory of Xuanye that lasts like the blink of an eye? Because of that glimpse I binge-watched the whole drama in three days. I just wanted to get to see Xuanye move again. Not just his figure, but his mannerisms are mesmerising. And the story didn't disappoint.
Makes me want to watch the series all over again. I just have to get past girlfriend's brattiness about being for being forced from the Lake of Tears. I think that's what it's called it. All I know is she worried everyone.
I had to go and google for the story you mentioned and wow, I've got to say that the story seems so interesting and heartbreaking. I couldn't find the ending though so did Meliodas and Elizabeth have a tragic ending after all the sufferings they've gone through together? That would be so sad. You really piqued my interest.
