- Naruto takes a bizarre photo to use for his Ninja Registration Form, causing the Third Hokage to order him to retake it. However, Naruto refuses, and tries to persuade the Third with the Sexy Technique, which gives the latter a nose bleed and falls. Suddenly, the Third's grandson comes charging into the room, wishing to challenge him for the title as Hokage, but slips and falls. Konohamaru tries to claim Naruto made him trip, angering Naruto. Konohamaru chastises Naruto, believing that since he's the grandson of the Third Hokage, Naruto wouldn't harm him. However, Naruto replies that he doesn't care and punches the boy.

Unfortunately no one actually knows, it's a law from the third to not say anything about Naruto's origins, the only one who knows that Minato was his father we're all the Jonins alive currently at that time and the Sannins as well as third and the Elders without Danzo.

I sincerely believe that Naruto wasn't actually going to hit him until Konohamaru called him out. He was likely just going to yell at him a bit, then Konohamaru opens his mouth and Naruto's just like, "Well now I have to hit you."

@Mohit Nahar but the 3rd reanimated was in the village when Konohamaru was there, so he could have saw him but they spent a lot of time talking to Sasuke

I started watching Naruto after seeing some cats meme of Naruto and sasuke and when I started watching it I thought he was that sasuke guy, specially when I saw konohamura saying Naruto his rival.

everyone talking about how konohamaru is saying he's the grandson of the 3rd to naruto, not realizing that naruto is the son of the 4th, when in reality, had they both had known, none of them would give a shit.
konohamaru only saying that bcs he thought everyone would care, when he himself doesnt, and dont want anyone else to care either (its literally in this video). that's why konohamaru ended up wanting to follow naruto's footsteps, because he's the first one to see konohamaru as himself, the same way how naruto wants everyone to see him as himself aswell, not as the son of the 4th, or the nine tails jinchuriki. its literally naruto's main motivation of becoming hokage, bcs similar to konohamaru, they want to prove that they themselves can surpass the image that the other konoha citizens have unfairly put on to them
even when naruto found out that minato is his dad, he didn't go around telling people about either. he still want to become someone worthy of being the hokage, that's why he still didnt give up on getting sasuke back. mind you, minato was the most recent hero for konoha citizens, if he wanted to, he can just showed off to everybody that he's the son of the 4th, and he would've been accepted by everyone right then and there after the pain arc to replace tsunade, but that's not his character.
had he known by this point of the story that he's the son of the 4th hokage, im 100% sure that he will still acted this way to konohamaru, and he'll only ever showed it off to sakura and sasuke early on just to iritate them
this same reason is why it make sense that naruto also accepted mitsuki and kawaki into the village
